Star of the County Down..........Take Two

Thought I would update my last review. My Daughter surprised me by treating me to a meal so my wife and I called in on June 21st (Fathers Day) at about 3.15. It was very busy and realised we should have booked but Deidre sat us down and reassured us that there was no problem and she would fit us... read more

We ate here last night as a large group of young families, and it was just brilliant. The staff were very accommodating, tolerant and attentive, and we had a lovely meal which was great value. Couldn't have been better. Highly recommend!

Phone half an hour before arrived and got a table for 3. Arriving we were shown to the seating/waiting area. Staff very attentive and took order prior to showing us to the table. Have driven past The Anglers Rest frequently on our way to or from Banbridge but never stopped. Been here twice whilst on holiday. The food is lovely, there are daily specials and a good menu. The prices are good for the quality of the food. Will be visiting again.

On recommendation from a number of people we booked Sunday lunch here. We were shown to our table quickly, our order was taken quickly and the food arrived quickly which was great. Water and juice were provided in jugs also. The waiting staff were all very pleasant. I had the steak but I have to say the food was pretty... More
