Visited The Angler's Rest back in August for a family meal, there were 9 of us in the group. The staff were excellent and couldn't be more friendly and were very attentive. Our drinks and meals were served very efficiently and the food was plentiful and delicious. It was personally my first visit to the place and I was very... More

We would visit here quite regularly with our 20 month old daughter should it be a Sunday lunch or an evening meal through the week, the service is always fantastic with Andrew, Derdrie or any of the staff always willing to go that extra mile to make your visit memorable. The food is always first class and the portion sizes... More

This is the traditional pub location. Good wholesome food. Never been hungry leaving here. Bright and cheerful.

Went today with my brothers. Waited about 5 mins for a table. Then the food came quickly and tasted excellent. Highly recommend this place

I ordered Beef Stroganoff the evening special. The plate was well presented with the rice chips and meal in separate dishes. The rice was boil in the bag and had been microwaved beyond al dente. The rice was not drained and sat in cooking water. The chip had been cooked many times and they were inedible. The Stroganoff was something... More

My family and I are regular visitors to this country restaurant, with lovely food and pleasant staff always guaranteed! The menu has a great selection of chicken, beef, fish, grills and vegetarian dishes to choose from and the chef will have a daily special board on as well! Staff are courteous and anything else we may need is never any... More

Returned a couple of times and each time was better, what more can you say! The last time was on the 12th of July. We knew it would be busy and it was, but the waitress 'Deirdre' was efficient and jovial as usual, are order was taken within 5mins and we were at our table within 15 mins food arrived... More

Food was excellent, but the waitress's seemed unprofessional, they spent most of their time talking to each other, that made me feel like I wasn't a valued customer. But the food saved my experience as it was well prepared, quick, the portions were great and the dessert was exquisit. I wish there was more of a variety on the menu... More
