Excellent service

We were holding a surprise 80th birthday party for my mum and booked the Halfway. They could not have done enough for us - anything we asked for we got - including all 27 of us around the one table! We arrived mid afternoon to set a few things up and discovered the room ready and Cara only too... read more

We live locally and dined at the halfway recently with visiting friends so I was disappointed when we all left grumbling about our visit. We were promptly shown to our table on arrival. I had to ask for a high chair for our 10 month old (on a previous visit wasn't offered one). We had to wait slightly longer than... More

On the recommendation of a work colleague, three of us, seekers of good food, ventured out of Belfast in search of some good food. I doubted, to be frank, that I'd find it in Banbridge and boy was I wrong. It was some much more than I had dared hope for. The standard was excellent in some many ways. The... More

Spend a lovely Easter Monday evening having a meal at the Halfway with family. Having spent a sunny day in the garden we were all very hungry and were not disappointed by the offerings on the Easter menu. They were very busy for a monday evening but we were not sitting about too long before being served our delicious meals... More

We live near to the halfway house so dine here at least once a month and always have an enjoyable meal. What sets this place apart is the friendly service from the owner and some of the more experienced members of staff who always make a fuss over our little one. It can be difficult finding somewhere you feel comfortable... More

Each and every time i am up and down from Drogheda or Dundalk i call into this restaurant. Great menu, great food, lovely staff and such a comfortable and modern interior. Very reasonable priced also. A must to eat in on your way by.

Wow, what a fantastic restaurant. I went with customers and all 5 of us were of the same opinion, the food was delicious, the staff were warm, friendly and not overbearing. My personal highlight was the trio of beef, melt in the mouth delicious. It has a very relaxed atmosphere, the toilets were spotlessly clean in both. I enjoyed it... More

What a gem of a restaurant. Superb staff, professional and friendly. Beautiful food, beautiful decor, what a lovely way to spend a Friday and Saturday evening dining with what felt like friends. Highly recommended. Dave Puckle (North Wales).

We have been here a few times and the other half's favourite is the carpet bagger steak. Last time we visited was about a year ago when we called in while shopping in nearby outlet. This visit was a lightbulb moment, we live in belfast and were going out for dinner and intended to go somewhere local. The other half... More
