We hadn't been to the Halfway in quite some time as our previous 2 visits as a family were distinctly average and nothing to rush back for, but we heard they had been refurbished a while back and had improved. I'm going to list the positive points first so as ppl don't get the wrong idea and think it's all... More

Ate here with friends and family on fri11 July , all 7 of us were suitably impressed. Lovely restaurant with homely atmosphere. Food was superb, my fillet steak cooked med/rare & just as I like it, probably the nicest I've had!!! All of our party were raving about their meal & we have already made plans to return, FAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ate here with my husband, staff very friendly and welcoming on arrival and restaurant is very nice inside. However food was a big let-down. My hubby had the flat iron steak, which was very tough. I ordered a fillet, nearly £23 but a big let-down, quite tough for such an expensive steak. Our garlic potato sides were also overdone to... More

Loved this place a few years ago, then it went downhill and we stopped going. Heard great reports recently and that it was under new management. Decided to give it a go this evening - what a big mistake! On first impressions, the restaurant has been revamped and we were met and brought to our table. The menu looked promising... More

This restaurant has been improved recently and is now one of my favourite places for a pleasant lunch or dinner, while visiting locally or passing through to Dublin. Interior decor is pleasant and tables and seating comfortable and well planned. Service was very good and the staff seemed to take a pride in getting customer satisfaction. Even the chef showed...
