Lovely food

My husband and I called in at lunch time. He had the special which was roast beef. Well presented and good vegetables. I ordered soup, which was tomato chilli and red pepper, very tasty. I also had a tuna sandwich. What a sandwich, loaded with tuna and lovely salad on wholegrain bread... read more

We had a 50th wedding anniversary in the halfway house 4th July. What a night! We booked a few weeks in advance with Amy who was brilliant to deal with and made sure every detail was accompanied for, went down to see her and showed us around the room and took note of what way we wanted it set up... So the last time I was here was 5 years ago after Rugby match(been loads of times in past) and because it was so good then we made the big mistake of coming back again late June 2015. Starter - Deep fried Brie - OK just.... probably from the freezer - a little cold on two pieces but I let... More

Was taken here by my daughter as a fathers day treat. As it was fathers day it was naturally very busy but as we had booked we didn't have long to wait on our table. Food was excellent as it always is when we visit. As a fathers day treat I got a free pint of Guinness on the house.... More

Sometime visiting a restaurant on a special day can lead to a poor review not least due to how busy the place is. NOT the case today. Restaurant was packed but well staffed to match. Service and greeting was very good. As we had booked we were seated very quickly. Drinks followed by starters all served quickly. Good selection on... More

This is a handy stop off the A1 road (100 adds) just past Banbridge, the food is excellent and plenty of it for the hungry traveller. The menu will cater for all tastes and this place has a lot of history behind it to give interest

We ate here on a recommendation and were v disappointed. The food was tasteless, overpriced stodge and the service while friendly enough, lacked any finesse. The waiter brought our drinks down carrying them in his hands not on a tray - house wine I ordered tasted like cheap nasty tat. The starters were a ridiculous price for what arrived- I... More

Thank you so much for your excellent service, there were 52 of us, the room was beautifully set up, the food was all served hot and really delicious, the attention given to us by all staff members was really appreciated, a perfect finish to an already good day out!

From our initial meeting with Amy, the events manager to our departure after our visit we had professional service. Extremely friendly attentive staff, especially in the function room. Super service, nothing was any trouble. Even brought a birthday candle to adorn the dessert of one of our members. Very tasty, well cooked and well presented food. Lovely room and specially... More
