Great food, fantastic service!

Okay so I called in and was met by very friendly staff, they smiled and couldn't be more helpful, I was taken to my seat offered a news paper and the staff chatted to me and made me feel very welcome. I was brought my lunch which was delicious and a very well poured pint of Guinness. I must say... read more

Had an amazing meal here on Friday night with my wife and our friend. We got squeezed in at the last minute as we never made the reservation until 1930. The food was delicious and the staff were brilliant (Chelle) The wife is vegetarian and was really impressed with her selection as it was way better than what she is... More

Had a wonderful meal here in my favourite restaurant last night. To start I had the mushrooms while my better half had the soup of the day which was parsnip. Delicious. We followed this with a fillet steak garlic fries and mushrooms for me and a chefs special of lamb shank for himself. This was followed up with one dessert... More

Had a beautiful Sunday lunch in this restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service was personal and efficient. The food was delicious and the finely sliced roast beef was incredibly tender. I was impressed by the beautiful presentation of the dishes. The menu caters very well for gluten free customers and the GF hot chocolate fudge cake was literally... More

Wow, I've eaten here now 3 or 4 times on my visits to the area and it just keeps getting better. My colleague was eating here for the 1st time and is of the same opinion, fantastic food, locally sourced, delicious and not too expensive. We started with scallops and beef, awesome We both went for the carpetbagger steak, a... More

I absolutely love this place. The staff, food and atmosphere is excellent. To make it even better, they have a brilliant gluten free menu. They offer a large selection of gluten free meals... Including starters, main course and desserts. Its very hard to find a restaurant in northern Ireland that offers such a wide range but the halfway house doesn't... More

We recently had a function here in the 'Eden Room' for our daughters dedication. There were 25 or so of us including kids and everyone had a fantastic time. The Eden Room is the perfect size for 20 - 40 guests. The kids in our party had their own special table and were able to play safely and without bothering... More

Òn main Belfast to Ďublin dual carriageway. Half way between Banbridge and Dromore. Hense the name. Half way house. Good parking space. We had a great meal I had a well done steak. My wife had salmon. Beautiful cooked very little waiting. Plenty of choice with daily specials.

I was disappointed in the Carpetbagger as there was no pate inside the steak. The last one I had was absolutely mouth watering ( the pâté was course and stayed inside the steak ) . Priced at £25.95 it is not unreasonable to expect 100% perfection.
