My pal has moved to live in Newtownards and he's eating his way around the place at the moment!! He said Romas was very good so I thought I'd give it a go. 2 mains and 2 sweets, drinks and coffees all for well under £40. Great value but even better food. I had Belly of Pork and it was... read more

After browsing the menu in the window we decided to pop in for lunch. I had the lite bite special - starter, dessert and coffee for £9.00! I had potato skins with cheese and bacon followed by the sticky toffee pudding. My husband had the chicken and bacon spaghetti carbonara which came with garlic bread - £8.00! Everything was delicious... More

Managed to get a table. The place was packed as usual. Food took an age to arrive at the table and based on previous visits it was pretty poor. The fried onions in my burger were not fried and the whole dish lacked taste. My wife's chicken burger was equally bland!! I expect a longer waiting time during busy periods... More

Ate in the bar area which is comfortable and welcoming. There was a good selection on both the full and the daily menu. The service was excellent and the food tasty. It was attractively served. Helpings were generous. Will return and would recommend.

Had a really lovely meal and friendly staff very helpful. The menu had loads of choice and same with the kids menu, my 5 year old ordered the sausages chips and beans and the portion was huge and served on a lovely wooden board much to her delight! The salt and chilli king prawns were to die for, only thing... More

We went here last Saturday morning for breakfast. To be honest we intended to go to a different place across the road from it but when we discovered it wasn't open at 9.15am we decided to give Roma's a go. Boy! was that the right decision!!! What a great breakfast with very fresh ingredients and most importantly for me... everything... More

Had a family meal here at Easter. Ordered the enchilada and asked for it to be made very spicy: as I assumed it would be made up freshly not already prepared. When it arrived the plate was warm but the food cold (except for the small salad). Didn't see a single chilli in the enchilada which was disappointing. It was... More

Romas is fantastic, great service and excellent food. The menu is varied, innovative and reasonably priced. The only difficulty is in deciding what to order. Other restaurants come and go but Romas stands out for its consistency.

My husband and I had the lunch specials this week, and frankly it was awful, we could have made it better ourselves. The table next to us ordered a sizzling dish which looked more appealing than our reheated Yorkshire pudding and thick tasteless bistro gravy. Though I can't comment on how the sizzling dishes actually taste. Our potatoes tasted like... More
