Special Birthday

We spent a great afternoon enjoying a delicious meal at McKee's to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday. Dad & I both had haddock with chunky chips & Mum had gammon with creamed mash, cabbage & carrot & parsnip. The food was excellent both in flavour, presentation & quantity. It was excellent & the... read more

Kept waiting, yes... but in a way that spoke volumes for this restaurant. We turned up for lunch on Monday 2 March and had to wait about 15 minutes before being seated. A Monday, lunchtime, the place was packed. What does that say for the quality and service available at this farm shop and restaurant? Lots! I ordered a ham... More

Lovely pies, tray bakes and General good wholesome food .always busy. Have so much to buy and eat there or bring home. You could spend a fortune. Is a little pricey with some things but well worth it.

Have been several times and each time the food and service were excellent. Best to get there early as this place is always busy. Good food counter with ready made meals and puddings for you to take home and enjoy. Fresh bread also for sale - yummy! Would recommend this to anyone.

Called in today for lunch, and as she was here before, she decided to treat me to lunch. Great selection on the menu, went for the homemade lasagne. Delicious, would have had two, if they werew so filling. Cherith was a great waitress, although all the staff seemed very busy. Timed it well, for there was a queue waiting for... More

The staff were very courteous... More

Lovely lunch at Mckees farm shop. Food was good though the waitress took the order wrong, seemed to be a bit disorganised out the front. Food was good and having a browse around the shop is nice after.

Everytime I go here the place is always packed and we always have to queue for a seat, but in the end its worth the wait because these people have service and food down to a T. The staff are impeccable with manners and will go that little bit extra to see that you are satisfied with your meal, whether it... More
