Lovely lunch at Mckees farm shop. Food was good though the waitress took the order wrong, seemed to be a bit disorganised out the front. Food was good and having a browse around the shop is nice after.

Everytime I go here the place is always packed and we always have to queue for a seat, but in the end its worth the wait because these people have service and food down to a T. The staff are impeccable with manners and will go that little bit extra to see that you are satisfied with your meal, whether it... More

McKees is a (little bit posh) lovely farm restaurant, with a brilliant breakfast menu. The healthy choice breakfast is a personal favourite- a special twist on the 'traditional fry-up'. The staff are wonderful, and extrembly helpful. It can (will) get very busy on a Saturday from 10am onwards and you may have to wait for a table. it is a... More

Every Tuesday morning for as long as the restaurant has been open, I take my mum to McKee's for breakfast. We get there around 9.30, sit down at our usual table at the window and admire the glorious views of Scrabo Tower and Strangford Lough, before ordering 'our usual' The staff are so lovely, know our order off by heart,... Been here a few times and have not been disappointed to date. Within easy commute from Newtownards,Holywood, Dundonald or indeed Bangor it is a well run country farm shop with restaurant but now I feel the restaurant has taken over from the shop as the main attraction. A very popular lunch venue and is always busy but inspite of this... More

Visited recently. Had lunch in the restaurant which was very nice and warm. Can't fault the meal or the service. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Afterwards shopped in the farm shop. All their produce was lovely and fresh. Again, very nice staff. Only criticism would be of their website. Went on the site to view the menu but... More

wow, what a breakfast i had in here. i had poached eggs on wheaten with bacon and mushrooms, and its by far the best i have ever had, the eggs were cooked to perfection and the yolk just oozed out of them. other members of the party had the french bread with syrup and bacon which too was fantastic. i... Set in the Craigantlet hills above Newtownards, this is a wee gem of a farm shop restaurant. The food is fresh made using farm ingredients and is consistently good. The restaurant is bright and some window tables have stunning views of Strangford Lough. It is always busy and sometimes the queues are long. Love going for breakfast and the coffee topups are... Popped in here for lunch and wasn't disappointed in the slightest. The staff warm friendly and helpful. A wonderful Warm Irish welcome. This was my first stop on my first visit to Northern Ireland and it set me up for the next few days. I will return.

As a regular I have become increasingly disappointed in the value of the food due to recent price increases. another problem is that the breakfasts are invariably served luke warm and thus cold by the time I am finishing.
