A big, busy restaurant, that's understandably popular.

Great food at a good price, the staff were really busy, but were very polite, friendly and efficient. If you haven't booked, be prepared to wait for a table at busy times.

Visited this Wine bar Restaurant on a busy Monday evening in late July. Very very busy but we got a table for 2 instantly. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. There is a great buzz in this place and the staff were polite and friendly. They have the most delicious dessert selection too. I would definitely return if... More

I was here with some customers recently and although the waitress who greeted us barked a whole series of their rules of engagement at us (pick you table, we close at xx, order at the bar, we can't split bills etc etc) it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. The menu was very good value and the food... More

Decided to try this place out last night (Saturday night) as I heard such raving good reviews. I personally was disappointed. Waited on a table for over an hour, then once seated we have to go up and queue to order our food. We ordered med-rare steaks and they were served to us basically bleu (a cold jelly like texture... This restaurant has the makings of a great night out but falls flat. We hadn't booked but as we had been before we knew we could wait with their ticket system. And get a drink elsewhere . We came back before our table was ready so tried to get a drink in the bar which was unsuccessful as it was... More

Has been consistently good...in its different guises over the last 20 years that I've been coming here... Great value for money wine list (listen out you restaurants in NW Ireland)..,v good food.. Always lots of staff...although on this occasion not hugely effective (they need to do more than just walk around...) .. Desserts are possibly 5* standard.... I am looking... More

12 people in party. Food delicious. Waiter just left. 10 waiters in sight and no one picked up slack. Crap service. Owner should fire people. Start with waiter named Chris Golf.

This was our first visit and it didn't disappoint. The menu was extensive and great value. We had a large group and the staff were helpful and attentive. Would recommend getting there early as you will have to queue otherwise, but it was worth it!

Portrush was one of our stops during our road trip and Richard, the manager for Albany Lodge, where we stayed recommended this restaurant to us. There are 3 different Ramore restaurants and we decided to eat at The Mermaid. We ordered: the Seafood thermidor (warm seafood platter for 2) with the Sancerre Domaine Du Carrou to compliment the food. And... More

After much praise by many friends we decided to visit with our 1 year old son. We arrived at 12 and waited in line until it opened at 12.15. Our son was sound asleep in his buggy but due to their strict no buggy rule we were told to lift him and use a high chair. Not a great start.... More
