You need to take this restaurant for what it is.....

We have visited on a previous holiday in the area and looked forward to returning. During our 4 night stay in the area, we spent 2 evenings at the Harbour Bistro, we visited the Ramore Wine Bar for our final lunch on a Saturday. You need to be very clear as to what this restaurant offers, it is... read more

Went for dinner Saturday night. I'd been before about a year ago and was table service. Now you have to order at the bar yourself. After being made to wait an hour and a half for a table this was annoying, especially as we were a party of 7. It made ordering very awkward for everyone. our biggest complaint was... More

Absolutely great. Wanted to see if it lives up to the hype within NI that all my friends tell me about. It sort of does. Great foo, lovely fresh cod, beautiful chips and incredible tobacco onions. Deserts cabinet is fantastic, had the Salted Caramel and Chocolate Cheesecake and absolutely loved it, cleared the plate. But I don't see how it... More

Great food, abrupt and rude staff, however at non peak times you are quickly seated and served at a good price. In summer or busy times, the two hour wait and lack of booking makes this place a nightmare as well as not being able to split bills, however go on a not busy day and enjoy amazing food.

On Saturday we went to the Ramore and as always cannot fault the place. As soon as we got there we were shown to a table. Staff are always brilliant and look after us when we are there! I saw a few comments about the place being like "a cattle market" but it's a Saturday night and after all it's... More

Visited Ramore wine bar this evening as we are staying in portrush and everyone bangs on about this place and how nice it is. First off from the pictures of food on their website I was expecting this to be a nice dining restaurant and high quality food- sadly not. If you like being cramped and not being able to... More

Went to Ramore on Sunday evening, 24th Jan 2016. Have been before and last time it was just OK. Thought we'd give it another chance. Won't do that again. Squeezed in on Table I in the beach bar area. Accepted that because the place is always busy. Ordered food and two drinks. £46 so far. Food arrived, two T Bone... More

Not what I expected at all!! Arrived at the restaurant early and we were seated promptly when it opened at 5 o'clock - we placed our order promptly, got our drinks and sat to await our meal in what I would have expected about 20 mins (to allow a reasonable cooking time and because we had ordered early) we were...
