Tasty and fresh

Fresh cooked so be prepared to wait, but the wait is worth it. Huge portions, you may want to share!

Went to The Hip Chip on our way home from Portrush. We had planned to go to a different chippy but the queue was too big. The food in the Hip Chip was delicious, couldn't complain. However when we were there we did see a staff member take food from the freezer and then run her hands through her hair,not... More

The staff are helpful and very quick to serve freshly cooked fish and chips. The portions are generous!

This place is sooo busy which speaks for itself. Probably best to phone your order in to save time. Well done to all concerned

Wasn't the best wasn't the worst fish and chips I've had. Wish the service would have been a bit nicer, but beggars can't be choosers.

Our party spent £45 for the one of the worst fish ever- I watched them lift every item from the freezer and chuck it in fryer. Service was slow Will not return

I was recommended this restaurant by Finn MacCool's Public House, and they called the order in for me. I ate part of it, but it was a lot of food and, honestly, not very tasty. The fish seemed to be soggy and it just had no flavor. Perhaps the restaurant across the way might have been better.

I have just recently landed a post of writing a small travel blog for a newspaper that you will see when all my travels are done. This was my very first stop and I will be doing most of the town however I don't think I will see anything like I did again. My partner and I decided that because... More

Unfortunately, I have to agree with all the bad reviews on here. We chose this chippy as it had large queues outside so thought the food must be good as opposed to the quiter one across the road. How wrong we were: the queues were just down to slow/inefficient service. The chips were cooked well but in some dreadful tasting... More
