We visited again on our way home, as due to family circumstances we haven't been for awhile. Excellent welcome along with service which was lovely. Our meals were perfect with the large portions served as usual. The standard is high along with the quality of local food used. This is a family favourite and it was a joy to return... More

Lunch today was top notch. Ribeye steak cooked to perfection, asked for it to be cooked medium and it certainly was. Home cooked chips, home cooked onion rings excellent produce ,and first class service from the young staff both behind the bar and those serving our food. Excellent pub and they deserve the praise.

We've been to the Butchers Arms a number of times in the past few months, and have never been disappointed. Exceptionally generous portions, great service from local youngsters, and the specials are always a terrific option. But go there hungry! The main portions will have you loosening your belt and patting your stomach with a contented sigh. And the cockle... More

Meal for four on a Saturday night. Real firm was on, friendly welcome and nice atmosphere. Menu was varied and interesting. Had a Butchers platter. Seem to think it was bigger when I had it during a previous visit (two tiny sausages). Was nice all the same. Family had gammon and scampi. It was all nice, just not outstanding. Will... More

For one reason or another, no fault of this food heaven, I have not been for at least 18 months. A friend of mine and I went to the Butchers on Friday 24th April evening. Lovely welcoming fire, especially as it turned cold and wet. The genuine welcome from the staff as usual and and a friendly word or two.... More

I went there for a meal with my grandchildren. We didn't book, but that was no problem for them even though they were busy. There were lots of local people eating out there, which is always a good sign. The staff were excellent, and the food was very good. We had a really nice evening. We will call again.

We've eaten here several times recently, as it is a place you can guarantee a perfecly cooked meal every time! The menu has something to suit everyone, whether it's pub grub or something a bit more special, the menu suits any occasion. I recently had the salmon fillet (melt in the mouth) followed by Lemon Posset for pudding (scrumptious!). The... More

We celebrated my niece's 18th birthday with a family meal for 10 people... and fair play staff had put banners up wishing her a happy birthday.Everyone's food came out the same time nobody was left waiting , the food was delicious and plenty of it. Puddings were also gorgeous and the young waitress was lovely and couldn't do enough for... More
