We had a wonderful dinner. Both the food and service were excellent. My only disappointment was that we did not have room for dessert...

Had an impromptu meal last night and were lucky to get a table as very busy. Great menu with plenty of choice. I had the garlic mushrooms followed by battered cod, very tasty . Another wonderful meal at the Butchers' yesterday evening. The cod bake was delicious and the ambience as good as ever. We have been coming to this pub on most occasions that we are in the area for the past 15 years and it is consistently superb. Mavis and David run a very fine establishment.

Thoroughly enjoyed a birthday meal here. It was very busy (customers having to be turned away)but service was good and the food was very tasty. Definitely recommend to eat there and will be going back soon

We were lucky to get a table at the Butchers Arms opposite as it was very busy and had we been a larger party we... More

No accompanying mint sauce with lamb and had to wait at least 5 mins for a vinegary concoction from a jar. Salmon was plain and bland. No sauce at all. My brother's steak was fine. Over-priced and...
