What a wonderful little find this was. we were in Skipton for the Tour De France weekend and were lucky enough to get a cancellation. We could not fault the service and food we did have to wait quite a while between courses but we were very well looked after and even offered a drink because of the slow service.... More

We were mooching around Skipton ,looking for a quick lunch when we came upon an extremely convivial chef in colourful uniform handing out various salamis and delicious delicacies Of course we were drawn into his restaurant and were totally amazed at the quality of food and the varied menu. We only had hot baguettes with Toulouse sausage and onion, and... More

This restaurant is gorgeous, the atmosphere and the food is totally unrivaled in Skipton. We always go here for lunch when we get together. All the food is home cooked and the desserts are lovely. We are never disappointed with the Bistro, just go NOW ! "go on get ya sen gone "

We visited this restaurant after watching the Tour de France pass through town. Skipton was heaving and the restaurant was clearly very busy. So we were not expecting too too much. However, we need not have worried. The food was very good, it was french but with an obvious Yorkshire spin (potato flavoured with black pudding). My wife had the... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant twice last week - once for an evening meal, once for a lunchtime meal. Both times the meal was superb. The ambiance and service were also very good. If we ever return to Skipton this will be our first port of call

Came to Le bistro with friends for a spur of the moment dinner on Wednesday night. We could not decide on just one dish each so instead shared 7 starters!! They were all amazing as usually. Mushrooms, scallops, Camembert and sirloin were particularly great. When it came to desserts again we were spoilt for choice, so the ever helpful manager... More

We were recommended this place by a man in a pub but he clearly had good taste. We ate here on a Monday night and the place was busy. The bar also serves a couple of real ales which was good to see. The cuisine is proper French cooking, maybe slightly rustic but superbly done. Didn't make it to dessert... More

Had this place recommended to us, so although we don't normally do French, it was really nice. The service was good, the place was nice and had a good atmosphere. The food was very good, and there was a nice selection of wines. It seems to do well all the time, so booking would be worthwhile. Would certainly go again.

This bistro runs like a French brasserie. Not surprising since its owner is the ever charming French patron Luc Daguzan and his friendly English staff. It’s as equally good for lunch as for dinner or just a coffee and a cognac. It’s a friendly and convivial place. There's a more formal dining area upstairs – although it’s still very relaxed... More
