Brill pub and very dog friendly

This pub has loads of beers and ciders and they are lovely about letting you try the beer if you're not sure. We had meals the mushroom burger, beef, pork and ale burger and the narrow boT burger. The meals were lovely. Great chips! The mushroom burger was a lovely field mushroom with cheese and... read more

A varied menu, fabulous choice of beer and nicely done out. However a lot of the food was very greasy and the pub was full of dogs. One or two is ok but it felt like you were eating in a boarding kennel.

We came to this pub for the fact it is dog friendly. But, better still, it has a brilliant selection of real ales & ciders AND Lagers. AND Better still, the food was also very good, we had a Sea Food & Meat Platter. It was very filling and had lots of variety. We were full at the end of... More

We found this pub via Tripadvisor reviews during a recent visit to Skipton. My goodness what a gem of a find. More real ales and ciders than you can shake a stick at plus superb food. Its even doggie friendly which was a necessity for us. The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer. Assistant Manager Spike and his... More

Been here several times both day and night, but just lately have started popping in on the weekend at lunchtime as a family and with our pooch. The atmosphere is so down to earth & relaxing I could sit there for hours! Nice, simple food, great ales and friendly staff!

Visited around 8.30pm on a Friday night. The pub was busy but we got served straight away and found a seat in the upstairs seating area. There was a good range of real ales available and the barman who served us very efficient. The one thing we noticed was a practice that I thought was long banished from pubs these... More

Out with a friend in Skipton on a Wednesday night - you would not think it would be hard to find somewhere serving a meal at tea time but after a few knock backs we ended up at the narrowboat. My pal is a vegetarian but was thrilled to see her fav on the menu. My first choice was not... More

I love the narrowboat as it has the best range of beers in Skipton. Tonight i ate here for the first time and it definitely wont be the last! Me and my girlfriend both had the meat platter to start which was brilliant. My girlfriend had the pie of the day which she said was very good. I had the... More
