Great beers but the stinkiest toilets in Britain!

The Narrow Boat is a proper beer drinker's pub serving an intersting range of hand-pulled cask beers. The popularity of the pub means turnover is fast and the beers are usually fresh. You wouldn't go here to drink Eurofizz, be deafened by bad music or watch endless sport on big screens. There isn't... read more

I hired the function room for an engagement tea party this weekend and it was perfect! We did our own catering but the staff were very attentive and happy to help despite being very busy in the bar down stairs. The venue was very clean and provided us with plenty of room for people to sit or sand allowing us... More

Love it here, and love trying out all the different ales and bitters - staff are friendly, and it's always full of the locals too!

Great Beer, according to Hubby, Service for food very slow. Ordered Chicken Burger tasteless and with skin still on not cooked at all. Mentioned to staff and was asked do you want a refund or wait for another burger. I asked if Chicken was in date and was told "Everything is date stamped" No not waiting for another burger. Payed... Will not return for food. Service was awful and took an hour for food to be served with no apology from any member of staff

Stopped for a quick lunch on May Day bank holiday. We have eaten here before in the evening and have always been impressed by the food and the friendly service. I had the nicest fish and chips ever! A small portion ( which was still pretty big for me) cost £5.95 with a free coffee thrown in too. Nothing about... More

On 29 April we visited the narrow boat. The food was good although it took 50 minutes to arrive I had the pie which was a little cold and my son had a chicken Chiritso that was a little bit more spicy than he anticipated. My wife had the pork that she thoroughly enjoyed. I would only go again if... More

Great food and the girl behind the bar kept a look out for a table because we was outside has the place was full. Also took drink orders at the table will definitely be back.

expected a lovely lunch but sadly disappointed, made worse because I have visited before and it was good, this time visited with my sister and adult nephew, all the drinks were fine and they do have a good selection of beer and cider which is great, problem started with the meal, my nephew ordered the burger and was happy with... The food was nice but my wife has lots of allergies, she ordered a burger which I noticed contained chilli! One of are party had to go to the kitchen to confirm this with the kitchen staff.... More
