Went to the narrow boat on a Wednesday afternoon 5pm for a drink. Since most of us was driving we ordered soft drinks and coffees. The lady behind the bar spoke to the person next to her in front of us and said if your not going to order alcohol you should go to a cafe (most of these closing... More

Havnt eaten her but the menu looks good and varied with good veggie choice. Have been in a couple of times while moored in Skipton and its a great pub, no TV, no rubbish music, lots of great beers changing on a regular basis. Good pub well worth a visit

This is a proper pub, no frills, always packed as it is good at what it does... Has no time for insignificant chatter... It's a taste of the no nonsense Yorkshire approach! Brilliant !!!

What can I say about our favourite local pub? Well it's our favourite local pub for a start! No chavs, no thumping music or sports channels, excellent food (the posh fishfinger butty is awesome), the best kept beer with the best variety. Finally the best staff too, Spike, Tim, Tanya and the whole gang are brilliant and in my experience... More

Place smells, service is slow, selection of drinks is poor, prices are steep and the manager (working at the brief time I was there) was just plan rude to our group.

We went to the Narrow Boat having been recommended to visit. We would have had lunch but they were not serving food unfortunately. There was nobody in the bar and only 2 somewhat strange looking characters outside. We had 1 drink each and left. I can only assume we did not visit the Narrow Boat at its best.

On our first visit to friends who have recently moved to Skipton, they took us out to dinner and chose the Narrow Boat both for its proximity and quality. We arrived quite early on a Monday evening and it was still almost empty, and immediately I noticed... no piped music, a major plus. There was a good selection of beers... More

This has been a local of ours for years, despite the overwhelming doggie smell that often pervades the atmosphere. We first started using the Narrow Boat when it was the only none-smoking pub in Skipton. We asked if we could take our 8 month old grand-daughter in with us while we had a drink, but the answer was no. Children... More

Popped into Skipton on the way back from the Lakes and just managed to get order food before the kitchen closed. I had pie and my boyfriend had the Sunday roast both were large portions and very tasty. Would visit here again for food if passing by.
