We went to the Wooly last night (saturday) and as usual the place was buzzing didnt eat this time but when we have the food has always been excellent. Called after seeing reviews in yorkshire post. Lovely open fire great beer and fab food. Had the veggie stew which had great flavours. Hubbie had Ham hock. Huge. No space for puds. Will have to call again.

When we popped in for lunch at12.30 it was quiet but it soon was full. Not a huge selection on the menu but we enjoyed a lunch of ham hock sandwiches and fish finger sandwiches .

we visit on a sat for a drink bit basic bar with a good array of drinks the place was pack not much seating anyway in the bar area friendly staff when you have been shopping you really want to sit down and rest your legs its very good during the week will try then good atmosphere

I've lived near Skipton for a year & from outside this looks like a blokes pub but at the back is a lovely eating area. My friend & I had lunch here today. This lovely little gastro-pub has swiftly become a firm favourite for my partner and I since we moved to Skipton and it's not hard to see why.
