Good old fashioned pub food in a lovely setting

Really nice little pub - lots of attention has obviously been paid to the interior, which is charming and not flashy, really comfortable and lovely. The food was excellent. Simple menu with traditional good value mains, and a selection of 'higher end' chefs specials. We didn't have desert or... read more

A lovely pub but we won't be eating there again. We were disappointed because it has a good rating. It certainly isn't worth it how pricey the menu!

We had a relaxing lunch in this bustling pub. The menu was great and the food excellent. The portions were generous at a reasonable price. The service was great too.

I've walked past this pub many times but not given it much thought other than it being a typical looking town boozer. How wrong could I have been! A nice blend of old fashioned and contemporary furnishings and a busy hustle of both young and old, drinkers and diners. The menu doesn't stand out as much as the quality and... More

Quiet restaurant, good menu, excellent lamb - and a good wine list. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Nice dining room not too crowded in, good choice on the menu with local produce and Timothy Taylor beer, also some different choices on the specials board I had pan fried chicken with chorizo and home made black pudding very tasty, my partner had local sausages and mash , all presented very well.

We visited this on our first visit to Skipton after a recommendation from our campsite. A lovely walk from campsite to develop our appetite was worth it. The place was very busy but we managed to get the last 2 seats. The menu and wine list was good and focussed on local produce for the ingredients. Quality was good and... More

After a shopping trip in Skipton we decided to have lunch in this Inn. The staff were very efficient, the atmosphere relaxed and the food was excellent. I opted for one of the specials which was Garlic roasted chicken breast with apple and tarragon pesto. The chicken was tender and the pesto was very flavoursome. I will definitely be calling... This is a very nice Inn located in the middle of Skipton which turned out to be a great location. The room was quite nice, very comfortable with a good sized bathroom.
