Had read good reviews about this mobile chippy and have to agree it was delicious ! So much so went again the next time they were there ( Tues & Fri ). The queue was promising, locals as well as tourists, but the two people running it worked in such an efficient way we didn't have to wait too long.... More

The quality is great - a real treat. Cod is the standard fare, but there are other seasonal options. The owner is a real Trojan when it comes to working hard for his customers.

The Atlantic Fryer does great fish and chips, the chips are cooked in beef dripping, so very tasty. Cod lovely and fresh with a light batter. Home made mushy peas, which were tasty and very good curry sauce. Great value for money and so convenient after a busy day on the beach!

Well worth a visit if you are in the Portscatho area on a Tuesday or Friday evening. The van parks up by the upper Portscatho car park, which looks across Gerrans Bay towards Nare Head. You couldn't want for a better view to admire whilst you are waiting for your fish & chips. Whilst the cod is not freshly caught... More

It was easy to see why: the fish and chips from Chef Ross were easily the vey best I have ever had anywhere. The fresh Cod, handcut Chips and Beef dripping combine to make... More
