We had a lovely mid-week dinner at Tabb's. Not too heavy but really tasty. After the meal the chef discussed the dishes with us. We'll certainly be going back the next time we're in Cornwall.

The food was first class as was the service. You have to book and you may have the restaurant to yourselves which we like. They were flexible about the menu. More demand for dinner and should be booked. A very pleasant lunch time experience and we will go for dinner and certainly for lunch.

All about the food which was excellent. Four of us had 2-3 course each and all them high quality. Reasonably priced as well and the service too notch. Nice selection of wine to go with. If I had one issue was that you could order a la carte or off the set menu but everyone in your group had to... More

From start to finish Tabbs gave me the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time. From booking a table to the service, from the wine list to the friendly welcome of the chief and owner Tabbs excelled. The food was superb there were five in our party including a vegetarian and despite the chiefs insistence that he... More

I don't normally write reviews but this was so good it moved me to do it. I live in central London and this is as good as any restaurant I've been to regardless of cost and this isn't expensive actually cheap compared to an average restaurant we went to last night in Bath on our itinerary to Cornwall. Every course... More

The food was excellent and the set menu very good value. Thoroughly enjoyed all the courses including an amuse bouche and handmade chocolate with coffee. The ambience is a bit lacking, I would rather have had silence than the muzack and all the decor was somehow chilly. However I would highly recommend this place and would be keen to return... More

Not the easiest place to find especially if you are new to Truro, but it is very worthwhile making the effort. Simple but friendly and proffesional service. The decor was pleasant and comfortable. The food was fantastic. Portion sizes were exactly right, presentation was simple and elegant. Flavours were truely beautiful. The chef was able to accomodate some requests to... More

Slightly away from the main part of town and so it's not a place that people a stumble across. But really worth the effort. From the amuse bouche of a mushroom soup to the starter of pigeon breast and the scallops my wife had through to the roast duck and hake for main, every mouthful was a voyage of delight.... More

We decided this meal at last minute and got in. The food was lovely and the service equally good. We received a very warm welcome. Had chance to read a small but varied menu. One thing I couldn't understand was the had an a la carte and also table d'hote, menu but everyone in the party had to eat the... More
