Lunchtime visit

My mum who's in her 70's introduced me to this cafe stating it's her favourite place to have lunch in Truro. It was very busy but we easily found a seat, ordered reasonably quickly but did have quite wait (ordered salad) It didn't worry us on this occasion as we had plenty of free time. The Arts Cafe is quite small and can get very busy, but the food is very good and the service is friendly. At times the waiting staff are a bit pressed and it isn't always clear whether both the upstairs and lower counters are in use or only the lower one - it would be handy to have a sign... More

Food excellent, fresh salad, freshly made sandwiches, and lots lots more !! Tables spotless, efficient service, and the young man on the counter to serve you was extremely helpful. It does get busy but worth the wait. Prices very good. I do not give 5 stars easliy...but this was well justified !!!

Went for a shopping day out in Truro on a wet half term holiday day. Good days shopping but the highlight was this cafe. Such good value for money with quality ingredients, well thought out presentation and friendly staff. Compliments all round.

Called in for a coffee and seeking shelter from the rain. The cafe is lovely and quaint, it's very cute! I ordered a hazelnut latte and toasted teacake, both were lovely. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. Good value for money too.

Had lunch on a very busy Saturday. Lot of waitresses rushing around but still had to wait a while for food. Kitchen seemed small for the number of tables. Despite the wait food was good, wife thoroughly enjoyed her salad, my panini ok. Wife said the Earl Grey tea best she'd had. Place has a nice ambience, quite quiet despite... More

The Arts Cafe is wonderful inside with fab decor and as the name suggests, some lovely art. The menu selection is ample and the food is always good, fresh and honest, but be prepared for a wait... It's all prepared to order. The kids meals are excellent value and healthy, unlike a lot of pre-prepared junk elsewhere. I've been several... More

Went for lunch with a friend and enjoyed a panini and potato skins with salad. We did want jacket potatoes, but they had none available till 1pm - a bit late for the lunch rush! The food was well presented and was good. The staff were helpful, but a bit stressed by the lunch rush. There was a good "arty"... More

Had passed this place loads of times on way into Truro but never been in before. Happened to go to this part of the town for an appointment and popped in for a quick cuppa. What a pleasant suprise. Good choice menu or just a drink if you like. Very pleasant staff and an unhurried atmosphere. Will definately visit again.
