We have eaten here every time we have visited Truro, but we won't go again. The staff were great, but the food let them down. Poor quality, small portions & little care taken over the presentation.

Shocking!!! long wait for service, and then served 3 small pieces of fish coated it loads of batter; when I ordered ' fish and chips' I gave it a second chance after having a really bad steak meal a couple of weeks ago....not good....sadly having been a local supporter, wouldn't recommend it again!

Nice 'pubby' atmosphere.. fairly good food, tasty. Could have been a little warmer on this rainy afternoon, could be more welcoming as its the first you come to from getting off the train.

The pub was in walking distance of our rental home and this was recommended to us. We went for Sunday lunch... Food was plentiful and tasty. Service was fun and friendly. Going back in few days to try lunch.

I ordered fish and chips, my wife a burger and my son a child's burger. We waited 45 minutes and only after our baby with special needs became agitated did we get our food. Mine and my sons dishes were good, no more. My wife's burger was small and not cooked in the middle (after 45 minutes). You can get... More

Good selection of larger, beer and cider oh and wine of course. Nice menu for bar snakes through to more substantial, to suit all pockets. And very friendly service with a smile....which is somewhat lacking these days.

We came here last week on Sunday at lunch time and I was a little disappointed. My wife had a lovely lunch of mussels and the couple on the next table loved their roast. My steak pudding was disappointing. This evening, we were struggling for a venue which would met our needs with our dog in tow, we called back... More

Lovely young women behind the bar and serving, nothing was too much trouble. Best moules frites in a long time, partners steak and ale pudding was tasty but not much meat in it. We will eat there again. Dog friendly.

Good food, prompt service, friendly staff. I hear it was recently changed hands, I hope the new owners are as good as the last

Beware! The pub has changed hands and the brilliant burgers are no more :( We had a nice enough meal, but wouldn't bother going back. Such a shame, as we travelled a LONG way to have another taste of those excellent burgers.
