My husband and I are in Cornwall for our mini moon after getting married and we chose this restaurant after looking at the reviews and we were not disappointed. On arrival they congratulated us as upon booking they asked if it was a special occasion; we were greeted with a lovely card wishing us congratulations for our recent marriage. We... More

I'll keep this short and sweet. This is a lovely little restaurant that values fine dinning, superb service, great wine, and a friendly atmosphere. Whilst the price is above average for Truro, the quality surpasses any other restaurant within the city that I have dined at. Skilled chefs and competent front of house staff make this place well worth a... More

Celebrated my 60th birthday here. Our table had a card and a vase of Flowers on. Staff were pleasant. We sat near the back door and were rather cool. Eventually my husband asked them to close the door which they did and then we much more comfortable. I think air con is needed here so everyone is sitting in a... More

This was one of the best restaurant meals I have had in a long time. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere really lovely. The waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive. I can understand the comments of the reviewer who had seats by the open kitchen, but the chefs didn't shout & we did not hear any bad language!... More

You could not have done a better job of our dinner last night. The setting was perfect, the chap that looked after us was brilliant and the food amazing. I cannot praise this place high enough. Very deserving of their top spot on TA. Within 12 hours of leaving I had already told 8 people they had to visit. Very... More

The starters mains and desserts were all fab and both me and my partner throughly enjoyed them! My partner ordered fish and it was cooked to perfection!!... More

The food was very good and well presented. However this is a restaurant of 2 halves, the main body of the restaurant looked great but we sat by the open kitchen, not so good. I sat on the chair facing the wall lower down than my partner who was perched up on the banquette seating. She had the view of... More

Truro did not seem like the kind of town where we would find gourmet food, but we were so surprised at Gravy Boesti. The pea and crab starter was awesome. We awarded it the 'Best on our Trip to England' award! It sounds strange, but try it. The only problem...the dish was too deep to be licked clean. :) Great... More
