Consistent and Good

Went again this week for a late lunch, it's an easy choice to go here. This time Pollo Milanese was just what I wanted, chicken, beautiful chips, fresh greens. Their menu will not set the world alight but their food is consistently good, the team they have are friendly, the place is well run, the... read more

Over the years I've been to Ask in Cheltenham on several occasions, mainly when entertaining my children and their friends, So here in Truro, after a movie in the cinema next door, yesterday evening, what better than a bowl of pasta and a Pironi. In theory we know what we're in for: Cheerful decor, friendly staff and preprepared food heated... More

We pop in here for dinner often (mainly because you don't need a reservation most of the time!) and although the menu is sometimes a little limited and it feels like part of a 'chain' the food is always good, the wine is always quaffable, and the atmosphere is lively and affable.

We popped in for lunch on Saturday, it was very busy! I would recommend booking. Even though, the service was very friendly and quicker than I imagined bearing in mind how many customers there was. The calamari starter was great as we're the meatballs. For the main course I went for the seafood linguine which was great, the clams in... More

We were visiting truro on a christmas eve. While walking pass we saw a lunch deal and decided to give it a go. At first when we got in they said that they havent got any tables. However we sat at the table next to the door and soon they moved us to a proper table. The food was really... More

Th pizzas were fairly straightforward: nothing special, but nothing much could go wrong. The pasta was so bland and inedible that we sent it back. The salad consisted of a couple of leaves and a bunch of dried toast. Th Bruschetta? Criminal. Dried toast with a lump of tomato on a corner. And not cheap. In fact, we all left... More

Booked a table for quite a few people. Think there was 11 of us. The food was nice but the service was so slow. We had some young children who had to wait far too long when we asked for their food to be brought out first. They had the neck to add a service charge on. We did ask... More

Standard stuff with good service in pleasant surroundings. Had lunch but bad taste in mouth by excessive service charge automatically added to the bill. The service was efficient but that is what you should expect - this is a run of the mill pasta and pizza joint and not some fine dinning restaurant - please stop doing this. As a... More
