We visited Cornwall at the end of July 2014 and were recommended this restaurant by the owner of the hotel that we were staying at. This is probably one of the best Indian restaurants that we have ever been to. The food was delicious and came in big portions, service was excellent and our overall experience at the restaurant was... More

We have visited Truro every year for the last four or five years and a visit to the Kathmandu Palace is a must for us. The furnishings and fixtures may put those off who are used to sleeker restaurants but there is always a very warm welcome and the food is sensational.

We eat here fairly regularly with friends and have always been very pleased, however on this occasion we waited 50 mins for our main course after having to request that they take our order whilst numerous take away orders were carried past. Our normal little waitress was very apologetic, but other 2 members of waiting staff did not appear to... More

We came here as a party of 8 on a Friday night but were fitted in. We used to live in Truro so went here quite a bit so it was nice to go back - the food was excellent as usual and certainly the best in the South West - really flavoursome and a good selection plus decent beer... More

We are a couple from Yorkshire so we are well versed in good currys and side dishes. The curry itself was ok, but the we had the worst naan bread ive ever had and the whole place was a tad cramped with people getting squeezed in on the end of tables. The starters were very bland as were the dips.... More

Dear Wilsons, Thank you for the review. We are sorry that the naan and the starters did not match your taste buds. As I said on the night, we are also a Nepalese restaurant as well as an Indian, so there is a slight variety in the uses of spices- Nepalese being lighter. Next time, let us know if your... More

I am used to very good Indian food in London so maybe this is the best in the Southwest but believe me it isn't good or authentic (I have also been to Nepal and India). Possibly the worst Indian style food I've ever had. The puppodums and naan were ok - I left the rest.

Easily the best Indian/Nepalese restaurant in the South-West. The food is unfailingly excellent, and the friendly atmosphere is wonderful. Easy to see why if inspires such loyalty among regular customers.
