Voted in the 20 top Curry restaurants in the UK. You will find the Kathmandu in the shadow of the Cathedral in the heart of Truro. A cosy and relaxed establishment in Truro, the Kathmandu is hosted by charismatic and friendly hosts Raj and his family. Fresh herbs and ingredients are used to ensure the best curry experience, so that you can enjoy eating healthier and exotic Nepalese flavours. As a result the mouthwatering dishes are a lot lighter and more subtle than traditional Indian fayre.

We have been here several times now and always enjoy the curries which are among the nicest we've had. The staff are really friendly and on our last visit kindly made us Masala tea to go with our meal. On a warm evening the little outside area overlooking the canal is perfect

On our visit to Truro, we came upon this wonderful restaurant. Without booking, they found a lovely outside table for us. They couldn't be more accommodating and the food was just delicious. I am not surprised they are rated in the top 20 curry houses in the UK. Recommended ,

Have been here many times, but not this year. Fabulously different curry, with a Nepalese flavour. The staff are very freindly, & the owner Raj & his family are lovely people. You must try the, Momos, everest lamb & chicken Nepal!! Love this restaurant.

we started off in a large restaurant which could not serve a properly cooked Goan curry (which we had to return) but tried this delightful little place, recommended by friends, and found authentic tastes and excellent wholesome food served by people who clearly put the customer first. Refreshing. Excellent vegetarian curry and first class chicken dish. Also very good chutneys... More

Very friendly staff, attentive but not overbearing. The food is absolutely superb, so much flavour without being too hot (i had the sherpa chicken), definately recommend trying the kathmandu aloo, it's fantastic

We are local to Truro and have visited the Kathmandu on many occasions and frequently for birthday celebrations. Visiting on 13 August, we booked for 6.15 and were requested to vacate by 8pm which was fine. We were asked for drink orders as we were handed the menu. The chicken in the Byriani had been reheated and was tough. Plates... More

About 50 of us arrived, en masse (pre-booked, I hasten to say) and were warmly welcomed. We had a limited time in which to eat and were served very quickly and efficiently. The food was delicious and the service exemplary. I couldn't help but think back to a time, years ago, when the building which now houses the Kathmandu Palace... More

Kathmandu palace has reasonably priced generous food portions of good quality indian food They also have some Nepalese delicacies like momo's which are worth trying Service can be a bit slow at the weekends as the place is crowded. Try takeaways as there 20% off of those
