Voted in the 20 top Curry restaurants in the UK. You will find the Kathmandu in the shadow of the Cathedral in the heart of Truro. A cosy and relaxed establishment in Truro, the Kathmandu is hosted by charismatic and friendly hosts Raj and his family.
Fresh herbs and ingredients are used to ensure the best curry experience, so that you can enjoy eating healthier and exotic Nepalese flavours. As a result the mouthwatering dishes are a lot lighter and more subtle than traditional Indian fayre.

First time a few weeks ago we had really good experience - manager treated us really nice and we loved it So we decided to come back again tonight for my birthday and have a lovely night The waiter seemed really uninterested and acted as if we weren't even good enough to be in the restaurant - didn't even give... Ordered a takeaway... I would label it as AVERAGE though going by the number of people sitting in the restaurant, I would think it is hugely popular. However, that's just my review but can vouch for the fact that it came hugely recommended.

The restaurant doesn't have the best decor but the food is of good quality. We had vegetable curries. The vegetables weren't soggy and the all the flavours you expects were there. Overall, a really tasty meal.

First visit back since February yet was recognised and warmly welcomed back. This is a small yet cosy restaurant serving Nepalise specialities along with some Indian restaurant favourites. Ice cold Nepalise beer served in large bottles a good start. I was recommended to start with lamb momo - light tasty dumplings with a filling of delicious spiced lamb. Superb. As... More

I love eating indian cuisine, however, I cannot stand going to or ordering a take away that is full of grease and artificial colours and flavours. Kathmandu serves fresh, tasty and authentic dishes that are delicious! Would always recommend this indian, and would not eat from another one again.

We had booked a table for an after theatre meal with friends. We were late as the show overran by 30 minutes, but the staff were very understanding despite it being a busy Saturday night. We enjoyed a delicious meal. I had the Chicken Korma and my wife chose the King Prawn Achar. They were both very tasty. Would certainly... More

No doubt the best curry in Truro and great friendly service. Great sized portions too which allow the food to last till lunch the next day- perfect. So far only had takeaway but on picking up there is a fantastic atmosphere every night of the week.

Always a friendly reception here, and a pleasantly busy atmosphere. An unusualy wide choice of unfamiliar but seriously tempting options, from which I have never been disappointed.
