I was staying locally with a colleague and we decided to find somewhere in the "country" to eat. We came across The Green Man. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. Good available choice on the menu. Certainly wasn't disappointed.

Well pub hasn't changed in years. We heard it might be pricey but tried it anyway. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff , Some interesting dishes on the menu, so we all had something different. We were all very impressed with the quality and service of the food. May be a little pricey but it's not something that's pre heated. Made... More

Lovely setting, but unfortunately that's the only good thing I have to say! The food is pretentious, tasteless and massively overpriced. Simple things like mashed potato and Yorkshire pudding were almost inedible! Service was also poor. We were forced to ask twice for forgotten items...maybe writing the orders down would be a good idea! Some of the staff could also... More

Visited the Green Man for lunch. After ordering a beef sandwich and a margherita flatbread from the bar we sat outside. After having watched several customers who had ordered after us get served I reminded a waitress that we were waiting for food. Finally after a total wait of 40 minutes we received our order. The sandwich was acceptable however... More

After being let down by another restaurant I suggested we tried The Green Man. I can't remember the last time we ate there but it must have been 20 plus years. On entering the restaurant we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile. We asked if they had a table for two although very busy managed to find us... More

We called in here on the way home from Drayton Manor. Not being from the area I searched nearby restaurants accepting the gourmet society card. I was very pleased they did. We received a very warm welcome from a gentleman behind the bar & was very well looked after by our waitress. (Dark haired young girl, friendly & knowledgeable) Our food... More

Food way overpriced, considering this is just a big standard pub. The chicken I had was really poor quality, all slimey on the inside. Genuinely would have enjoyed a wetherspoons mor, and it would have been half the price. Won't be returning.

Really disappointed, went after work for food with colleagues but had to chase up the desserts on two occasions after waiting an hour, and when they came the treacle tarts were cold, and other items were missing. Even when trying to get the bill the staff were more interested in stacking cups and saucers than serving us. Overall the meal... More

Went there on Easter Monday for a meal with the family. Had a lamb rib starter with chips as did the wife and the kids had a burger each. The ribs (only 3 small ones for just under £10) were so full of fat that I could not eat them and complained. The chips (about 8 in a tiny bucket... More
