The setting is beautiful, overlooking Dale bay - especially if you eat in the new extension. The night we went it was busy, but we had booked. The experience was very much a curate's egg. The staff were very friendly but were not attentive, often leaving the extension we were in for long periods without a waitress in sight. We... More

Stayed a few miles away and heard about this place from the locals. Luckily we got the last table on the first night as we hadn't booked. Fresh fish at its best and although not the cheapest definitely value for money. Two menus ... traditional pub food ... and hand written catch of the day with about 10-15 different fishes... More

Myself and my partner recently visited Pembrokeshire and stubbled across this little gem located in Dale. The service was great and the food fantastic! They have recently opened a roof terrace which give truly amazing views. Back to the food we both had Fish and chips and we're not disappointed the fish was fresh and the batter crisp and light... We drove to Griffin Inn through a narrow, hedged road but were so glad to make the effort. The seafood was so fresh and beautifully cooked and the staff do helpful to tourist with little knowledge of the local seafood. Wonderful place.

Arrived after a very long journey, the staff were attentive and the food was served quickly even though they were busy and had our reservation down for the wrong night but they still managed to find us a table. Food excellent, very fresh and tasty.

Last night we spent a wonderful four hours at the Griffin Inn enjoying their Pembrokeshire Fish Week gourmet seafood supper. It was our fist visit to Dale. Sian and Simon, the owners, had prepared a wonderful six course menu with some fine complementary wine with each course. If that wasn't enough, we had the delight of a delicious oyster in... More

A couple who were staying at the St Brides Castle with us were so impressed with the Griffin that they ate dinner there every evening and indeed our experience was quite favourable too.. We booked for lunch at the Griffin and had an excellent fish (Half pint of prawns & battered haddock ) meal. They had opened a new dinning... More

We are regulars, and recent reviews about sum it up. Idyllic waterfront setting (not quite so idyllic when the wind is blowing), superb fish, rest of menu nothing special. On the expensive side yes, but hopefully this means they make some money, which in turn means they may sill be here in a years time - I have no problem... More

We ate here three times in one week and not a duff plate of food at all. Fish beautifully fresh, staff helpful, views fantastic.

Lovely atmosphere, great views to the bay, fresh fish and very nice , polite and efficient staff. The price is a little over rating. Since we are Portuguese we are used to eat fish and sea food at much lower prices. it was an experience to taste fresh fish in a different country. And....it was different, but good.
