Great seaside pub for lunch

We stopped here for lunch after rock pooling on the beach in Dale. The staff could not have been more helpful, especially as we had our daughters aged one and four with us. Great view whilst we ate. Used Tripadvisor to look for the decent pubs in Haverfordwest and fancied an early dinner at the well recommended Griffin Inn Pub. The pub is relatively small and was packed from the time we arrived (0730ish) and until we left (0930ish). There is no parking adjacent to the pub (although the locals clearly ignore the double yellow lines lol) but... More

Ate here our first evening, having booked. Huge range of fish and seafood. I chose scallops followed by cod loin in white wine sauce on asparagus and samphire, with triple layer chocolate ice cream for dessert. Companions had John Dory and Beef Pie respectively. My scallops were good enough though showed no sign of searing. The cod loin was excellent... More

That is not saying much but it is in fact excellent. Great beer choices and fishy food. Very happy to report that when we arrived late from a sailing trip after the kitchen had closed they accommodated us and made us welcome. Committed staff are worth a good review and the food was good.

The fact that we just ate here for the 3rd night in a row should say it all. And we had to drive there as staying a few miles away, so plenty choice if we had wanted it. Really good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. What more can I say except, if you are anywhere nearby, just go.

We had originally booked a table for 4 of us, however we met up with some friends who were trying to get in. We were told that if everyone could get round our table they would feed us, which they did, even though the place was heaving. Exceptionally friendly staff and good food. One of our party had food allergies... More

We drove from Fishguard to try the seafood and it was definitely worth it. Excellent food served by friendly staff in an informal pub atmosphere. Being from London we were also pleasantly surprised when the bill came. It was raining during our visit but I'd like to come back and enjoy the views from the sundeck on a nicer day.
