Definitely go and definitely have the fresh fish and definitely listen to Alice run through all the options for you - she needs to be on stage! I think the annex is a little minimalist and breezy (not keen on the red chairs!) but the food is fab!

Since this pub restaurant does not have any real competition in the town we were not expecting too much but the fish was really fresh and well cooked. Their website proclaims they have their own fisherman, so no wonder it's fresh! The cooking is fairly simple but well above a 'chippy'. I had a generous portion of mullett and my... More

If holidaying in this area eating options are very limited and the Griffin [which has gorgeous views across the bay] does, during the holiday season get very busy and I would recommend booking a table. We ate twice on consecutive nights, the first, not booked, saw us eating at a tiny table close to the busy bar and with no... More

During our week long holiday we had visited the pub on several occasions for a drink & found the bar staff to be really friendly and helpful and the menu looked wonderful so we decided to end our stay with a meal at the restaurant and booked on the Tuesday for 8pm on Thursday night. We were told that our... More

This friendly beachside pub and restaurant doesn't really need any more reviews - it's all been said before! Excellent dinner there, great range of fresh fish, really well cooked food, efficient friendly service and lovely setting. Book in the summertime for dinner as it is obviously very popular and busy. Great atmosphere too.

You don't have to eat locally caught fish here but you should because it is fresh, simply cooked and can be accompanied by a good selection of wines or local beers (which are obviously appreciated by the sailors who gather on the beach wall at the end of the day). Our food delighted. There's a huge contrast between the ambiance... More

I have now been back to The Griffin Inn twice now and I will be returning again and again. The service was friendly, helpful and efficient and I doubt if you can get fish any fresher I believe they have their own fisherman supplying them , so virtually straight from boat to plate via a short detour to the stove... Stopped in for a spot of lunch with my girlfriend and our dog, dined out on the new terrace which offered stunning views on a fair day. The food arrived in good time and was delicious, good home made pub grub. Proper. Beer hit the spot as expected from a pint of wales finest, Cwrw Haf. Great visit, will be... More

This is a gem of a place to eat if you love fish! We visited this on a second visit to Skomer when we stayed at nearby Marloes, having been very disappointed by the fare at the Lobster Pot Inn there on the first visit. What a contrast. There's a good range of food available at the Griffin Inn and... More
