Stopped here for drinks whilst on the real ale trail. Really nice spot by the river and stayed for 3 pints. March Haigh a particular favourite ale.

Visited the Riverhead for tea mid week. The restaurant was upstairs and we could choose where to sit as we were the only diners. The waiter was very attentive, but the food was a disappointment. I had the beef and mushroom pie which had been microwaved. The "crust" was more like a rag and completely inedible. The filling was very... More

A couple of pints of real ale in the bar an then upstairs for lunch. We wanted something to nibble whilst we waited for the main course, can we share a starter, the queen scallops and croutons, no problem and I'll tell chef that you're sharing so that you get an equal amount of things said our server. It came... More

Have often enjoyed a pint or two at the Riverhead. The pub boasts it's own brewery (obvs) and the range is phenomenal. It gets a bit old mannish in the evening, and there are bar leeches that won't move out of your way, but staff are friendly and helpful and the beer is well kept. The dining room is another... More

Took the family here over Easter for a bite to eat. Restaurant is upstairs and the barman offered to help carry the pushchair up the stairs. Fast, friendly and efficient service. Food came in decent sized portions - we both had a roast pork dinner. Two minor gripes - no crackling and the roast spuds weren't crispy. But minor quibbles... More

A family day out in Marsden would not now be the same without stopping at the Riverhead. The beer brewed on the premises is excellent but the food is even better. A good selection and reasonable prices complement the high quality and friendly service. What more could we want? We will be back.

Our second visit here. Again the food was excellent, with very friendly service. Plus the local ales are amazingly good. What a combination. Recommend a visit.

Took my mum here for Mother's Day where they had a special menu on at a reasonable price. The soup was creamy leek with warm fresh baked bread - delicious. We also had salmon in filo pastry with lobster sauce, braised beef and pheasant breast on a mushroom risotto all very good. Finished off with creme brûlée & cheese &... More

I've had a real nice dinner choosing the dish of the day. Very good Duck breast with nice side dish. I had 2 local beers really good. (They serve local beers) Alse dessert was delicious, served with a couple of home made biscuits. Go there! :)
