Excellent choice on the daily lunch menu but we went for the blackboard special which represented very good value for money. We had an outstanding meal accompanied by a very drinkable house... More

Went here on a Sunday night with my boyfriend and his family. The restaurant was quiet, in fact we were the only table the whole night but the service and food was excellent. For 25 Euros each we had three courses and a fourth course of tomato soup which was delicious. We had steaks which were huge and perfectly cooked... More

We booked the Truffe for our 45th Wedding Anniversary for 19 people. Jonathan and Simon worked out a special menu for us. We had canapés with the aperitifs when we arrived. They gave us a choice of 4 starters 4 mains and 4 desserts. We let them know what people had picked before hand. Most had Beef Wellington for the... More

We were out visiting Brantome and en-route home decided to check the reviews for an Auberge for an evening meal. We arrived (family of three) at 6:45pm and we're made welcome. We enjoyed a wonderful meal with excellent wine and our hosts were very welcoming despite having celebrated their anniversary the previous day. Give them a try, you won't regret... More

Four of us dined there on 4th August. The food was really tasty, a great choice and wonderful service. A good range of french food but you also had a good choice of english dishes also. Wine was good and we could not believe how reasonable it all was. Highly recommended.

Our party of four people dined at lunchtime on Friday July 17th. We had the set lunchtime menu which with an added soup starter and a carafe of wine cost €13.50 Euros per head. To say it was excellent value is an understatement and the quality of the food was exceptional. Our only regret is that we did not visit... More

I keep returning to this charming little restaurant both for the food and the friendly service. The set lunch menu is so good and so reasonable that they must produce it at cost. The clientele is mostly ex-pats and the once a month “Curry night” is a winner and a nice change. With Jonathan front of house and Simon producing... More

We had a lovely welcome by hosts Simon and Jonathan. We ate here 3 times in the space of one week and each time the meals were excellent. Very good value for money, halve what we would have paid in England. Simon, chef, very accommodating to my husband who is a vegetarian and cooked off menu for him.Jonathan hilarious (in... More

My partner and I visited for lunch and had the four course set menu. All four courses were good, but the pate and onion relish and the pineapple cake with chocolate sauce and ice-cream stood out. At 13.50 euros including wine we were very impressed.
