This restaurant is at the port. There is no road between the tables and the port, so it is a great place just to be there. I had the 'humeurs du chef' and is was really great. In the evening it can be crowded, so a reservation could help to get a table.

Excellent food in a great setting overlooking the harbour, and bay beyond, in Royan. Our waiter was superb and had a great personality and knows his craft. The food was delicious we had Thai gambas to start and then sea bass on a bed of Provence vegetables. The cooking and flavours were perfectly balanced and all this for €16.90 per... More

many thanks to all the staff and especially the chef who made our visit so enjoyable. my wife is vegetarian and we always struggle for food in France but here nothing was too much trouble and they were happy to accommodate her. my fish was expertly cooked and the standard of service and food was first class. highly recommended.

We had lunch here on a sunny afternoon. We sat on the patio, and opted for the two course lunch for 15€. You can choose an appetizer and a main course, or main course and dessert. Our appetizers were beautifully presented, and delicately prepared, and delicious. The main course was slightly disappointing, but very good none the less. I was... More

We have found so few places in this area of Fance that offer a healthy option for children. They cooked our 20 month old little girl fish, rice and crushed peas. And gave us a booster seat for her to sit on. One of the waiters explained the menu to us in English, and the food was very fresh and... More

We had a very pleasant time in this restaurant. The atmosphere is very good and the food was incredible. Try the "humeur du chef": the menu less then 20 EUR with very high quality. The wine choice is good. Service a little bit long but necessary to get such fresh and quality food. Definitely the best quality/price in the area.

We had a lovely table at the window. The starters and mains were very good but the desserts were pretty disappointing. There was nobody to welcome us at the door or to greet us when we came in. The waitress who took our order forgot to offer us an aperitif and wanted to take our food order just a couple... More

Le Petit Bouchon is a little gem situated amongst many tourist oriented restaurants straight at the Marina on the lower promenade. It looks attractive on the outside with an inviting display of the 20 and 26 euro three course menus on a blackboard ... No Tripadvisor emblem yet in the window (this should change now that they are nr 1... More
