As with many of the best restaurants, this one is located away from the main tourist area and very much reserved for the locals. If you can afford the above average prices and are prepared to venture away from the centre of the town, you will be rewarded. There is plenty of competition in Dieppe, with many well established alternatives.... More

Tried this place a few years ago, much recommended (why???). Horrible overdone in your face decor, sort of crowded for lunch but that did not explain the non-existent service, Took too long--to get any service for welcome, aperitifs, to order, to actually get the food, etc. The food was average, but the prices were significant!--altogether better at the tourist joints... Good food. All fresh and nice people made we felt like to be in a warm place. We had plate of the day, mixer seafood and oysters as starters. Will go also tomorrow for sure and will try other dishes b

We visited this out of the way restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime. The restaurant was pretty full and the decor/ambience was super. There was a wide variety of seafood available and choosing was tricky as so much was very tempting. The oysters were superb and my John Dory cooked with morelles and cream absolutely delicious. My husband thoroughly enjoy his... More

This is hidden away on the outskirts of the town, around a 10 minute walk from the town centre. I'd found it on streetview before visiting otherwise it may have been a bit awkward to find. Went here for lunch on a weekend trip. Food very good but for two people with no wine it's fairly pricey for lunch €80... More

It's worthwhile travelling the short distance from the main harbour/town area to eat at this restaurant. Very popular with the locals, the seafood is stunningly good. Expect to find it difficult to get a table unless you have a reservation, particularly at the weekends. Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. and you need to be there then to stand any chance... More

It's easy to find, this restaurant, as it is on the quai where you can't miss it really. The restaurant is actually a little larger than one would expect looking at the facade, that resembles more like a small house. Inside, a long bar and wooden tables with white table linen. Cosy. Many photographs and art on the wall, unassuming... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the owner of our hotel, a little walk outside of dieppe town centre but so glad we chose to go. You begin to think it doesn't exist as the roads get darker and you begin to enter the industrial estate of dieppe harbour. But it's there and behind the very modest unassuming front door... More

We had dinner at Comptoir de Huitres on a weekday evening. Despite its out-of-the way location it was filled with diners. Everyone's dinner was excellent, and I especially recommend the turbot. We enjoyed oysters for a starter and found them good but not the best we had in Dieppe. Service was excellent and not intrusive. Wine selections were excellent and... More
