A good place for a diverse group

The main advantage of this charming restaurant is its diverse menu: crepes, seafood, meats, salads... So it is a good place for a group of people with different tastes. The food is OK but not remarkable. Prices are reasonable. The place is busy and the service can keep up with the crowds. Tips... read more

Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice relaxed ambience, pleasant setting. Fresh tasty, simple and good value food. It is unpretentious and simple. We liked it.

Really friendly staff and great salads. Also had the local cidre served in bowls and a lovely crepe to finish. Would definitely recommend.

We are here for dinner one night for the set menus. The food was average nothing special. We had the pork pieces and shell fish platter followed by chicken and chips and sardines and mash. The mashed potato was lumpy and not very warm, the sardines were lovely though. Chicken and chips was fine. The dessert was far Breton and... More

We'd just got back from a rather cold wet and blowy boat trip to the Sept Iles and really fancied chicken and sausage and chips - we eat fancier stuff too but that was what we wanted! It was terrifically busy, we hadn't booked but they greeted us warmly and found us a table straight away. The service was great,... More

Great little place just off the sea front in Ploumanac'h. a nice place to stop for lunch if you're walking the sentiers de douaniers. Good menu - typical French food, reasonable prices, cosy little place, a little busy but there are only a few places in Ploumanac'h to stop. Service good.

Great little restaurant and excellent value for money. Plenty of seafood to chose from and good quick service. Other options not so plentiful...Avoid the beef - very tough to say the least. The Moules et Roquefort were yummy

I was hungry after our beautiful walk from Chemin de Skevell (where we parked near Perros-Guirec) to Ploumanac'h. We came across Le Mao, and decided to try it. I had never had buckwheat galettes, so I chose one of the offerings -- I don't remember which one, but it was vegetarian. It was delicious. We sat outdoors near the back... More

Our third holiday in Ploumanach over a period of 10 years or so. We've returned to the welcoming, relaxed Le Mao on every visit. It's not about haute cuisine. We've enjoyed straightforward French food - Moules/Frites, Steaks, Seafood - offering consistently good value for money. The staff are friendly, efficient and apparently unflappable, even in the busiest periods and our... More
