Nice addition to the Luxembourgish fine dining scene

Opening of the fine dining part of Jérémmy and Evelyne Parjouet's new restaurant Le Lion d'Or in Strassen. After having earned a first Michelin star in 2013, Jérémmy and his wife now run their own restaurant. The brasserie part serves traditional dishes and Luxembourgish specialities whereas the... read more

After having earned a first Michelin star in 2013, Jérémmy and his wife now run their own restaurant. The brasserie part serves traditional dishes and Luxembourgish specialities whereas the newly opened fine dining part reflects the cooking that earned Jérémmy his star... More

I travel 50% of the time, mostly in the US but sometimes abroad. Until this trip I never visited the same restaurant twice. On this trip I was in Luxembourg 7 days and visited Lion D'Or 3 times. The food was great, the service was perfect and it was one of the best dining experiences I've had in 30 years... More

This is a typical case of a restaurant where you enter with high expectations and you exit swearing you will never return! Nobody cares to pour water in your glasses or ask if you would like more drinks! And nobody asks if you have enjoyed your food which was not exactly what you had ordered! Maybe some ingredients were no... More

The restaurant and brasserie Lion d’Or at 201 route d’Arlon in Strassen just on the outskirts of Luxembourg city. Parking is possible on the main road, or in a small parking area nearby, or at the back. We had an excellent meal: the Terrine du Jour was ‘en croute’ with truffles (€15.50) and the Artichoke (€11.00). The main courses were... More

If you are accustomed to eat burnt pepper sauce with your oversalted beef filet, then chose this place! Incredible that these people have been instructed by well established star cook Tony Tintinger, I really wonder if his commission is worth his consulting offer when you consider the unprofessionnal overall impression when you are dining in this place. The whole restaurant... More

We love this place! This little gem of a brasserie and restaurant is situated in Strassen, a suburb of Luxembourg, 5km outside town, directly on the Route d'Arlon. The building looks to be older, but newly renovated, and contains the Barble and the baths. We think that three things make this place really special, and a must visit: 1) the... More

Le Lion D'or has recently opened in the place of a well known restaurant. It is supported by a well known Luxembourg Chef, Tony Tintinger who I believe gives advise but does not cook. The building is well known as a restaurant and is within the Barblé Center. We had lunch here on Wednesday 24th April. We chose the menu... More
