Recommended by a friend and the researched on here! What a great location, quaint village pub quite away from anywhere. As usual it was raining in Wales, however walking into the pub with the huge open fire burning away was one of the warmest welcomes! Lovely friendly staff, lovely pub. Now the food. For one not a massive selection, my... More

This pub is just a few hundred yards from the Usk Valley B&B where we were staying. Very helpful staff who were well-informed about gluten-free options on their menu. The food itself was very well presented and enjoyable - good king prawn starter and honeyed duck main, and a nice crème brulee to finish. Good choice of beer, cider and... More

Good, well kept local Wye valley beer. Food very average. I had steak. My wife had plaice. Neither were very fresh.

All good is really tasty! God size portions as well- none of this less is more ("it's an art form") malarky! Only about 10 ten tables so never overly busy or super quiet. Fab place for an evening bar snack or a Sunday roast!

A lovely Pub set in the countryside of Bettws Newydd. An old traditional pub with a warm welcome and very nice food awaits you. I would highly recommend this pub and would advise to book before going, otherwise you may not get a table.

Really charming little pub - wish we could have stayed longer. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, service could have been a little more attentive. Well worth a visit!! Note they only accept cash or cheque.
