My husband and I had a lovely evening at the Oxford Arms. The food was delicious (especially the triple cooked chips - yum!) and the service friendly and polite. Cosy and inviting on a particularly cold and rainy night.

Met some old friends at this pub as it was half way for us all to travel...we were pleasantly surprised!! The pub is gorgeous and welcoming....log burner, candle lit tables and really friendly bar staff. We were given a very warm welcome and sat for nearly an hour waiting for our friends. Menu is great...lovely seasonal dishes and all home... More

We understand that the pub has been in the same ownership for twelve years, and has obviously built up and maintained an excellent reputation.. Enjoyable.

Eat here as part of a birthday celebration. Main waitress was a credit to the place. Great recommendation on both food and wine. The quality of the food was great at a reasonable price. We were too full to have dessert. Fingers crossed we get a chance to come back again later in the year.

We visited with friends for Saturday lunch. We had three courses plus wine. The food was home made and very good quality with the starters being a particular highlight. The service was efficient and professional during what was a very quiet period. The only issue I would have is the price. £15 for sausage and mash is OTT even though... More

Typical village pub, nice atmosphere, dimmed lights. The food is tasty and the portions are good, however it might be a bit expensive as pub food.

Met family for a post Christmas meal. Randomly chose this pub and were really pleased with it. Lovely old pub with quaint charm, although it was pretty cold inside - luckily we were all warmly wrapped up. Very attentive service, with lots of smiles. Everyone enjoyed their meal choices - although my husband misread the menu and thought ham and... More

we went for Sunday lunch earlier this month. It is a lovely old stone inn with lots of character and friendly attentive staff. The roasts were really good-but quite expensive at £18-19 for one course. The bread and butter puddings-£6- were excellent.

Went here for Sunday lunch with my girlfriend and her parents. It was the only place near by that had tables for us, so we promptly took a table. The menu was good and not filled with the usual gastro-pub cliches. We all ended up going for the roast beef which was excellent. Lovely gravy and vegtables. I was, however,... More
