Good food at a reasonable price. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming as well as being very efficient.

As we walked through the door, we were greeted with a shrill cry of " you'll have to wait for for we've got a backlog" I would have just walked out but my wife was hungry. Food was alright.....and the wait was only fifteen mins....waitress nice enough, probably wouldn't bother going back. It was clean thought

A convenient walk from our B&B but mediocre food at best. But even worse were the drinks...the ale on tap tasted very watery & the martini one person ordered, contained no vermouth & only a double vodka with oily black olives. Obviously, not a place to order cocktails! To be fair, the restaurant was very busy as a local wedding... More

Food was poor quality and over priced. Macaroni cheese and the fish pie we had were mediocre and the cheese board was the worst I have ever had.

Ordered at the bar to eat outside (until the midges forced me back inside). Way more food than I needed! Nice location next to Neptune's Staircase.

Although we visited early on Valentine's Day evening, we went for meals from the standard bar meals menu. My girlfriend, who refers to The Moorings as her favourite place to eat in the area, had the steak pie, as usual. I decided on the Balmoral Chicken. We were attended by staff who were attentive, but not overpoweringly omnipresent. Great food,... More

Tasty food and not over priced at all! A bit of confusion with valentines menu's but got sorted and had a delicious meal. Staff are very friendly and polite, a good atmosphere too.

The Moorings Hotel restaurant has both a bar restaurant and dining room, the food is over-priced and we found it too greasy for our liking. It is however, very pleasant for a drink and set in a nice location.

We liked the fact that we could choose between the formality of the dining room and the more casual atmosphere in the bar. Great menus in both
