We happened on "The Vine" quite by chance during an evening tour of the area. A great meal with an excellent selection of beers. Best bit was the exchanges with the locals who seemed v keen to talk and share stories (not all of them believed!) All in all a very memorable evening; we look forward to a return visit... More

This is just a few miles from my home and is a regular place we stop to eat. Evening meals are good with varied selection, good quality and reasonable price, but the very best is the Sunday lunch. Our club visit several times a year for Sunday lunch and always find the quality very good. The staff are friendly and... More

Staying close by had been disappointed to find that they were full for lunch on the previous Sunday...went back for an evening. The Landlord was most encouraging on the phone when we rang to check. It is pub food and choosing the most straightforward items such as gammon and steak and ale pie proved to be great choices whereas lasagne... More

For a small local pub, this place has a brilliant menu, and the prices are fair as well. Service is friendly and fast.....Not the best atmospire, unless you like pubs, but for a good meal that won't break the bank, I highly recommend it.

This is a favourite place to eat with my friend and our mothers. The staff (and other customers!) are always friendly and helpful. They serve smaller portions of the adult menu, not just children's meals which are great for those with smaller appetites. I have been there with a few friends and with larger groups and Alun and his family... More

Had a fab Sunday Lunch here for Fathers day, there were 9 of us including 3 children. Have eaten here before and always has been a wonderful meal, served hot and plentiful. The landlord and staff makes you feel welcome and makes sure that all is well. As it was a warm sunny day we sat out in the garden... More

I do think it is unfair for some reviewers to complain about the limited menu and dated decor. Customers must bear in mind that it is a traditional family run pub doing food which has been on site for well over 100 years!!! It is not a posh restaurant or a chain such as Weatherspoons, Harvester or Toby Carvery. As... More

Picked this pub based on previous reviews and was not disappointed. On arrival the landlord, Alun, greeted us with a smile and ensured we had drinks. Even though the pub was pleasantly busy with regulars, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, unpretentious & good value. Just our cup of tea. Would definitely visit again if in the...
