I recently visited The Hollow Tree for my sisters birthday. There was only one person on the bar so it took a while to get served. We did not receive a check back and food took ages. We were seated near the kitchen doors, and the door was wedged open, the music from the kitchen over powered our conversations I... More

I visited the Hollow tree after friends saying how amazing and cheap it was. I never expected the pub to be so lovely inside. We sat in the adult dining area, which was extremely clean. Even the shelves where dust free (shocking for a pub) We were ordered hot drinks, and even though it isnt table service out drinks where... More

Upon arriving at the so-called "family friendly" restaurant, we were greeted by nobody. Left to our own devices, we struggled to find a table that wasn't covered in debris and dirty plates. After wandering around aimlessly for about ten minutes, dodging a parade of empty-handed table staff, we finally found a somewhat-clean two-seated table. We discovered that there were no... More

i have read recent reviews on this pub and seen that there seems to be some issues but we hadn't been for a few months so thought we'd go again. I went with a few freinds and upon arrival we were greeted by a freindly and helpful bar staff who told us we could find a table anywhere we'd like.... More

We went to the hallow tree today.... Wanting a play area for the kids, and a cavery for the adults. There were only a couple of tables that were clean. No staff around to ask to clean the bigger table we sat at. After queuing up for nearly ten minutes to ask for someone to clean the plates to hear... More

I went to the Hollow tree today to have a meal and watch the football with the kids. I must say for a two for one restaurant/pub it was exellent compared to the other two pubs nearby which i have also been to and were unsatisfactory. On arrival we were greeted by the barman with black hair he was very... More

NEVER AGAIN! Awful food and inexperienced staff/management. The Hollow Tree was always good for a cheap and cheerful meal, how times change. Stay away!!

Thought we would try this restaurant for the first time, as it always looked quite quaint driving past it on the M56 most days...but what a mistake this was going to be. First we booked a table, which wasn't ready when we arrived, they had forgot we booked, the table was completely filthy, as-well as the entire pub to be... More

I agree with the last post , we read the reviews but thought we would take a chance tonight . The place was fairly busy so that was a good sign , menu had plenty of choice we went for the Mixed grill & a Hunters chicken . After a short time ( 20 mins ) our food arrived looked... More

I dont know where these people come from?? Its a family pub and its cheap as chips for quality pub grub! Lovely surrounding area! Kids loved it so cheap to entertain them. If you want somewhere to take the kids and not get hit on the pockot this is the place!!!
