nice place to visit

This little gem hidden away in Oare is well worth a visit. Food is always superb as of course the beverage. Nice touches that make you feel special, may need to book though

Tucked away in Oare this place is fantastic. English style Shepherd Neame pub with a fantastic restaurant section. We had potted shrimps, monkfish and thai salad and roasted paprika cod with salad. All three dishes were superb. Great friendly staff and what looked like sn excellent set lunch menu. A must visit if you are in the area or even... More

Had a meal on a Friday with friends the food was well cooked the prawn starter and asparagus was exceptional and we enjoyed every course although i thought the dessert may have been bought in. Dined again on a quiet Sunday boiled egg on asparagus was cold and undercooked. Huge linguine starter far too much. Rib of beef was acceptable... More

I was recommended to The Three Mariners and the reviews are very good but my experience was a disappointment. We chose from the Walkers menu - on face value £13.95 is a good price for 3 courses but the portions were small - particularly the accompanying vegetables which could almost be classed as a garnish. I was not looking for... More

Four of us visited on a Saturday evening, table booked for 8pm. We arrived early to have a drink before eating but, as this was our first visit, we did not realise that there was nowhere to sit for a pre dinner drink. There is a bar however this area was fully laid out with tables for eating. The bar... More

This really is a very good spot to have lunch or dinner. The food is excellent - well cooked, nicely presented and a good range of options. Service from the young staff is superb - they are very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. And it's all incredible value for money, especially if you choose the fixed price menu. Nice atmosphere as... More

My tuna tatari was everything you'd expect from top sushi without the rice ., tuna was delicious , beautifully balanced with pickled ginger , pickled cucumber avocado and ponzu sauce . My skate main course smelled vinegary but when tasted was excellent , the acidity cutting through the skate perfectly . The chips were slightly over cooked and the salad... More

Constant delivery of goodness, variety and quality, whilst remaining approachable and affordable. The offer of different Menus is nothing short of inspired, where for instance the lunchtime walkers' Menu proposes a great set Menu for a very reasonable set price. The a la Carte Menu offers classic dishes and a good selection of seasonally inspired dishes. There is always plenty... More
