I'm no foodie, but after eating here perhaps I'll become one. The food was excellent, the service couldn't be better and the atmosphere was fun (we ate on the porch twice, inside once). It's a B&B so we had two breakfasts and a dinner. Would definitely go again.

I only wish I would have come here years ago. We had a sweet, attentive waitress who was perfect. They have some of the best tasting food I have ever had. Menu has a good variety of both appetizers and entrees. Extensive wine list and uniques desserts as well.

Cozy, intimate white linen restaurant. The menu looked so interesting, my husband and I decided to just have appetizers so that we could try a lot of different dishes which included roasted corn bisque, shisimi tuna, foie gras, pork bellies and dessert. Each dish was gorgeous and pleased our eyes before our taste buds. Our server recommended wines and beers... More

Chef came out to talk with us about the menu and wineries to visit in the area. I'm celiac (gluten free) and other person in party had egg allergy. He was warm, friendly, and very accommodating. Food was delicious.

This is a top notch restaurant. The chef is both creative and beyond competent. His food was well seasoned. We had foie gras, curried duck breast, filet mignon, and shrimp salad. It was awesome! I loved every bite. The wine list is vast, so it's easy to find something yummy to drink with your incredible meal. I 100% recommend this... More

Definitely best restaurant in the Solvang, Santa Ynez, Los Olives area. Open 5 days a week. Megan is an excellent, friendly waitress. Now, excellent rack of lamb and Hudson Valley foie gras. Unusual delicious caesar salad. Reasonable $15 corkage fee. We always return.

If you are touring the California Central Coast wineries (Santa Ynez valley), stop by the Ballard Inn in Ballard. Housed in a Victorian structure in the middle of this small town, the Inn is beautifully restored. The restaurant inside the Inn (open to all comers) is small and intimate and very comfortable. If the weather permits it, take your meal... More

Santa Ynez for those who have not been there is a small town (less than 5000 population) but in a center of the California Central Coast wine country. As a result there are some very nice restaurants. The Ballard Inn Restaurant is one of the best. It's a little pricey especially for a small town but with great service and... More

I think that I was expecting more because of the newly released AAA Diamond Awards. Our meals were nice but we were seated next to the kitchen swinging doors and it was very disturbing during the whole meal. Our waitress was fine except a bit forgetful over a few things. The server was unable to answer a question about an... More
