Took my elderly mother here for her birthday lunch and what a lovely lunch it was. Lovely location, attentive staff and delicious food. Pity we had no room for pud.......so we plan on going back again and leaving room for some sticky toffee pudding or something as delicious. Definitely worth a visit and reasonably priced - well done The Langton... More

A cracking location for this good looking pub. Food was great and the staff were friendly catering for 6 of us late on a Sunday.

It's good that the Langton Arms is well signed from the main road otherwise finding it across the ford may be difficult! This is a restaurant in the country that prides itself on serving local fare from their own or other local suppliers and it shows. We visited on two occasions and found the food an service excellent. It retains... More

Venison steak was fabulous. Lovely white chocolate and baileys torte. Most of all, wood pigeon salad was incredible! Staff great company, and good atmosphere.

While staying in Dorset for a week we ate in the restaurant on a busy Saturday evening. The staff were also busy with a wedding party. We received a friendly welcome, and service was efficient, attentive and relaxed despite the demands on the staff. There was a very pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant. There was a reasonably extensive menu plus 'specials' with something for... More

Nineteen members of our walking group sat down to a much needed meal after a 4 1/2 mile walk in the dorset countryside. In advance our tables had been booked and our meal choices selected. Our meals were delivered without very much delay, well presented and hot too. The portions were quite reasonable. The meal prices are not cheap but... More

We ate here on two successive evenings, staying a couple of nights in their excellent rooms. There was sufficient variety on the menu for all four of us to feel we had a real choice on both nights and actually the menu in any case changed slightly betwen the nights. We all thought the food was delicious, very well cooked,... More

We visited solely because of the Good Pub Guide Dorset Pub of the Year rating for 2013 and having just enjoyed two excellent meals at The Beckford Arms, the Wiltshire 2013 winner, were left somewhat puzzled by the Langton Arms high rating. The Langton Arms is a perfectly pleasant pub in a very pretty situation. On arrival I was unimpressed... More

We have just returned from this lovely place following a family celebration. We cannot fault anything from the quality of the food to the service. Whilst some may find it expensive, we are of an opinion that we would prefer to pay a little more for quality. Its a shame we didn't find room for desert, we are more for... More
