The only words to describe this resturant, the food, the service, the ambience, the setting is EXCELLENT. Don't miss out on it if you are in Mombasa.

Once again the most fabulous meal - starting with the fish fingers, followed by the grilled fish and grilled prawns. Too difficult to choose so two of us shared half of each dish and they were both outstanding! Set on the beach after a walk through Jumba Ruins, Monsoons is a must if you are visiting Mombasa.

Everything just perfect, the setting, staff, food, ambiance!!! Take your time because there's my such thing as hurry at Monsoon! Sea the turtles eggs hatch, fresh fish brought to the kitchen straight from the sea. It couldn't get any better!

When we call for booking we asked for a sea view table only to realize, once there, that all the tables enjoy a wonderful sea view being the restaurant right by the beach. The meal was fantastic, starting with sailfish carpacio and crab mayonnaise followed by un unforgettable sumptuous seafood platter never seen or had before, a zuccotto dessert with... More

I would had ever expected such a jewel some 15 kilometers from Mombasa, Monsoon restaurant inside the Jumba Ruins National Monument Site of Mtwapa, excellent seafood right by the sea in an exquisite relaxed environment, superb welcome and hospitality. Fishermen keep on bringing their catch to the restaurant straight from the sea and you will have the chance of enjoying... More

The walk back in time through the ruins is great for those so inclined. the beach on which this place is is really beautiful and looking to the sea from the ruins, your imagination comes alive. A stroll through the shady Jumba ruins, an old slave market(the horrors) guided down the hut by a young Masai. You are welcomed by Attlieo(?) the sociable Italian owner. Take time to wander the beach have a n aperitif while ordering your grilled prawns, crab, lobster catch of the day(red snapper) Order early otherwise it's a 2 hour wait. If... More
