Lunchtime haven

We'd just done the 5 mile circular walk and were ready for reward. The salmon came on a toasted sandwich and was hot smoked; full marks from my wife! I had soup, hot tasty and nice bread. Great beer choice, nice staff. A bit twee in places, and a bit steep, but this is Brancaster! November is a... read more

Went to Norfolk for a weekend and we decided to eat here before we went home. Had been in here for drinks before and really liked the atmosphere and the helpful staff. As far as dinner was concerned it was ok but just ok. My sone and wife had haddock and chips which were £14 a pop, I had a... More

We ate here as we couldn't eat at the Manor hotel where we were staying ..... and we are so glad we did. Classy, good food and excellent service. Every course just superb. We had a quiet table in the rear snug. I eat out a lot and this was GOOD! And value for money.

Me and my partner visited for Sunday lunch after strolling along the beach. The fish and chips portions were huge and all freshly prepared, very reasonably priced too. Visit for a lovely Sunday lunch.

We stayed for two nights to celebrate my husband's birthday. Room was perfect, comfortable bed, not cheap but not much difference in price to any of the other hotels in the local area. The food - not as good as the hotel. The chef likes pepper - on everything, seasoning was heavy handed and the food lacked love. The sweet... More

This is more of an Inn than a full blown hotel. Although it is a very good quality Inn. The decor suits the age of the Inn, the food is great quality and the right amount. There is a very good selection of wine, beers and spirits. 9 different gins and whiskeys. The ice cubes for the gin and tonic... More

Great to able to watch the rugby in a super atmosphere, drink great beer & eat pork scratchings. We were there for a few days but didn't eat on this occasion but we were made to feel very welcome by the very hard working manager. Will book in advance on our next visit especially if it clashes with the school holidays.

Had a fabulous meal in the bar tonight. The restaurant was fully booked but they serve the same food in the bar. The menu was varied and there was a specials board too. I had the best fish (haddock) and chips I've had in a long while. The staff were friendly and polite. I would definitely visit again.

Lovely hotel run by friendly yet extraordinarily hard working manager, who due to staff illness was hands on behind the bar on a very busy evening. We stayed at both hotels in this chain on consecutive nights, and the welcome was warm in both, decor lovely in both, but food slightly better at the Crown. Here the rare tempura tuna... More

This is a nice hotel with lovely rooms (that were a bit hot despite turning the heating off) and a restaurant that does excellent food. Unfortunately it is the only accommodation in the area, and as it has no competition, it's room charges are high.
