We found our meal at Gamla Masters to be both fun and very relaxing. The food was very well prepared and we had a lovely meal. The service was friendly and very helpful. We went on a Friday night and the the restaurant was very busy but the food came out promptly and there were no glitches that can happen... More

I will admit I looked up Gamla Masters here on TripAdvisor before stopping there for dinner and decided to go there based on the strength of the reviews. I am glad to say that those reviews came through in a big way as my wife and I enjoyed a lovely meal. We did not make a reservation beforehand, but since... More

The bottle of water on your table will cost you $7 if you open it. The food was good, what you would expect at a high level restaurant. Some of the side portions on the plate were luke warm. Service was fine. Overall good but not excellent.

We made a reservation at G:a Masters after passing by and reading the menu. As luck would have it, it turned out to be our favorite meal during a lengthy trip to Sweden. It seemed only right to have the rack of lamb since the whole island of Gottland is known for its particular breed of sheep. It was delicious... More

My husband had a giant steak and potatoes, but this restaurant had a nice variety of more gourmet items, too. Good service and a relaxed feel. You could sit on the porch or inside, might need a reservation to sit outside. Not cheap but good food and drink.

Very nice and cozy place! Good selection of beers, including local Wisby. It's open until 2am. At1:50am, a recording of "New York, New York" starts to play meaning it's time for the last order.

I booked a table personally by dropping in to the restaurant at the day time. We got the best table on the summer terrace. The terrace is heated what was important dueto not very warm nights. The service was great, we liked the recommended wine. We both ordered vegetarian lasagnas and were surprised by its quality. Usually you can check... More

This small and cosy restaurant in the heart of old Visby has been getting great reviews and for a good reason too. Relies on local ingredients and everything is super fresh and tasty. Lamb was superb and prices are reasonable considering the quality. Service was bit slow and they forgot the water and bread but I'll forgive that for the... More

Restaurant was very friendly, especially when we popped in to book the previous evening. I had the fillet of Char, which was nicely cooked, skin could have been a bit crispier. Vegetables were very tasty and the creamy dill sauce was delicious.

My husband and I just ate dinner at Gamla Masters Tonight and had a good experience. The atmosphere is cosy, yet modern. There are about 8 tables inside, plus the bar and an eating area on the porch. Servers were polite and helpful. For $110, we got 2 beers, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts. My husband had the Swedish meatballs... More
