There were nine of us and the bar was full with locals only one waitress was on, but she did handle all of it. When I ordered a burger with no bun, she knew exactly what I wanted and had a great meal. With nine people (three kids) we all order something different, no notes, she remember all our orders... Finding this restaurant was a challenge; signage is an A-Frame portable sidewalk sign propped on the curb of Big Bear Boulevard. The restaurant sits on the lake, off the boulevard. This would qualify as local watering hole at best, a dive is more appropriate. At lunchtime the indoor dining area is dark and not inviting. It was a warm summer... More

We had sandwiches, beer and fried mushrooms (which were HUGE) and all was very good. Didn't try the main menu, but location was great, on lake with good view.

The weather has changed from HOT to cold quickly. We were happy to see that a restaurant reopened at the Vintage. We sat outside because we had our dogs. The waitress is super sweet and has great customer service skills. She had to go from a warm inside to the freezing outside to wait on us. She had to have... More

I was looking forward to a delicious steak and baked potato dinner. Unfortunately it did not happen. The steak had good flavor, but was too fatty and was sitting on a gelatinous gravy. They oddly had no basic baked potatoes, but they had french fries, sweet potato fries, twice baked potatoes and mashed. I ordered the sweet potato fries and... More

The food was great but OMG, one serving is enough for two people! The service was good and the people were very friendly. The restaurant sits right on the lake with a view from the back windows. Really nice and very country western!

We looked forward to having Mill Creek Cattle Co Restaurant / Diamond Lils in Big Bear - we stop often at the one in Mentone. This place is a disaster. Been three times with the hope it would improve - slow! really really slow - took 30 minutes to get a waitress, another 45 to get food. Oops - I... More

We only had appetizers and drinks. It seemed ok, but for its location on a Friday night, should have been busier. I am alwayse surprised that these places on the water don't step it up a notch and build a great deck at the water. Seems a waste of a great view when the outdoors is mediocre.

We were here on a Saturday nite for drinks, we sat on the patio which overlooks the lake. Drinks were good, service was good and we were told by the waitress to come back for breakfast they have unlimited champagne for additional $5. We went back for breakfast, food was ok, but what can you really do with eggs? She... More
