My wife and I live in the Big Bear Valley and we had never given Amangela's a try until now. Right off the bat the server was very stand offish and bordering on rude. The menu is somewhat limited and the taste of the food was just ok. The specialty hot drinks come in huge coffee cups and my wife... More

We chose Amangela's because of the great reviews and we were happy as usual! We had 5 different sandwiches and all were excellent. My daughter had a Cesar Salad and it was huge and very good!

We visited for a quick lunch after a morning of hiking. Good choice. Very generous sandwiches on great bread. Wide variety. I can recommend the turkey with avocado and hummus, as well as the roast beef with spicy mustard. Both come with a choice of chips or potato salad. Our total bill was about $18, which was reasonable given what... More

This is just a great little place to go for breakfast. The prices are very reasonable and the whole place has a great vibe. The coffee was really good!

We tried this sandwich shop because the reviews were so good. This place really lives up to their reviews. I ordered the half turkey sandwich with their soup of the day, which was potato. My husband ordered the ham and cheese. It was all really good! Get here a little early because the lines get long. This will definitely be... More

After arriving in Big Bear hungry and thirsty, we found Amangela's to have the best sounding menu and happy lunch crowd scene along the Village Dr "tourist strip" that we don't always trust. We could follow the yeasty scent of baking bread all the way from the parking lot. Service was fast and soon we were wolfing down turkey sandwiches... More

Right in the middle of the Village, Amangela's is a great location. I stopped in for lunch, and the turkey sandwich was enormous, on a delicious sourdough. Plenty of other options on the menu, as well.

With construction still going on in front, it took some time to figure out just how to get inside, but it was well worth it. We had delicious sandwiches, beer and wine and enjoyed the live music playing all afternoon. There are both inside and outside tables and a friendly vibe in the air. Very enjoyable.

Amangela's is right on Village Drive in "The Village" section of the city of Big Bear Lake, and right now it's a bit difficult to get to because half the street is torn up for some renovation or improvements or something. But it's worth the hassle because they do a very good job of providing bagels and sandwiches. Bagels? Something... More

My husband and I had breakfast here. We both had the salmon beagle and lattes. The food was good, but there was some sort of issue, and we ended up waiting a bit too long for this to have been a quick breakfast spot.
