Food poor, but the final indignity was the waitress telling us ' Enjoy your din-dins'. Won't be missed, except maybe by masochists.

Overall experience was disappointing, from a below quality starter to an overpriced main. Staff trying hard but obviously inexperienced for the prices being asked for at this establishment. Menu was completely different to that which was advised on a previous phone conversation and card machine was unavailable.

Visited at lunchtime on a Friday in September. Pub was pretty quiet (it was raining). Service was prompt and friendly. Four of us enjoyed different meals picked from a menu with good range of choice. The prices were very reasonable.

My husband and I visited mid week after being recommended by a relative. It was fairly quiet when we arrived but gradually several other diners arrived and there were several people having a drink in the very attractive garden. Our meal was superb and the staff, may have been the owners?? were very friendly polite and attentive. Only one complaint,... More

Arrived after a drive from Yorkshire to our holiday cottage. Found an almost empty pub at 8.00 on a Saturday night. We were finally found a table after much debate as to if we could be fitted in. However in the time we were there only 2 other couples appeared. Service was slow, food adequate, pricing on the menu somewhat... More

We were initially overcharged for our meal but, when we pointed out the error in our bill, we received no apology for the (apparent) mistake. The meal was only of average quality.

I went for Sunday Lunch this weekend and I was greeted by a very happy and friendly member of staff who was very attentive and engaging. We went for the Sunday roast and it was plentiful as well as delicious. As for my dessert treacle sponge and ice cream it was lovely. I would certainly recommend this as a great... More

Have been to the new inn a few times over the years and this april was our first visit with the current owners. As soon as we walked through the door we were met with the warmest welcome by genuinly lovely friendly staff. And our drinks were brought to our table within minutes. I decided to order the sirloin steak,i... More
