My first visit treated me to the "Ploughman's Platter", ordered as an afterthought and enjoyed sat on a sofa in the bar. Went for lunch today with my eldest son, who grew up on Portland. This pub has been transformed into Portland's best restaurant/pub. Great atmosphere but the food was some of the best I have ever tasted. Good work and we will definitely become a regular customer

You are greeted with a very welcoming atmosphere and extremely friendly staff who are all extremely grateful for positive feedback they receive. I visited here in January and ordered the crab pate; but unfortunately this was not quite ready, so the chef prepared me a fresh dressed crab instead, this was... More

We found it to be great value, and have a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for the fireworks or band, but we really... More

New Years Eve was the first time I had eaten in this friendly Inn. I have visited several times just for a drink and always found it very friendly with well kept ales. The meal was one of the best I have ever had. The mussels I had as a starter were gorgeous, my steak for main was so tender... More

When the food arrived it looked and tasted superb. The meal was excellent and the atmosphere in the... More
