Visited for the first time on Saturday (16th May) with my wife and 2 friends. From entering the pub to leaving after our meal the staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble. My wife and friend had the Pork Belly - wow what a plateful - so much so that they came out with 'doggy bags', my steak... More

The Crab Pate was a lovely starter, and then it just got better. I had the lemon and ginger chicken salad with croutons and my partner had Spanish trio paella. This was restaurant standard cooking at its best at pub prices. The home made desserts are to die for too. On top of that there is a very good selection... More

Great food, with wide ranges of choice. Good real ales. As a real pub should be. Try the burgers, very good.

Just finished a weeks work around Weymouth and jumped to the island for some decent food. Near the top of the list I had to see what all the fuss was about. There is good reason this place is doing well. Their seafood platter is 10/10, fresh Portland crab, lymebay scallops and the most beautiful calamari you could wish for.... More

My first visit to the New Inn, made to feel very welcome, food was excellent, waiter knowledgeable, friendly, attentive but not in your face - a lovely experience which I will repeat. My only complaint was cheese dessert was a little expensive for the quantity supplied.

We visited bank holiday Sunday. This place although small was unbelievable busy.We didn't book as it was a last minute decision after reading through TripAdvisor and the restaurant was full. Although stretched the polite barman found one last table in the bar area which was also full. The food was incredible, burgers were HUGE and service & care was great.... More

The staff are very friendly and help create a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious and very well cooked. Their fresh seafood is their speciality. The oysters were fantastic!

To be honest, I didn't realise this restaurant existed but they've converted the pool room into a restaurant & employed a top notch chef. My wife & I were recommended to come here for our Wedding Anniversary & I'm very glad we did. The evening got off to a great start with a pint of green real ale which was... More
