Thought that we would try eating out in Chorlton, rather than the usual Didsbury or Hale. We choose the Lead Station as it had the most people in it out of the other restaurants we looked at. Ordered off the fixed price lunch menu as seemed good value. Chicken pate starter was the best bit, although the chutney tasted so... More

Been here a lot of times and overall it has been fantastic. Most recently I have been for a couple of lunches and they were both lovely. The food was brilliant - Eggs Benedict and a pastrami and emmental sandwich. The drinks were also very nice. The service was good too but in the past it has been slow. The... More

Well yet again the Lead Station comes up to the mark with a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast; open at 10:00am on Sunday morning and you best get there not long after ten or it will be busy … and rightly so. Fab full English for me, Eggs Florentine and a big tasty Bacon Sandwich with mushrooms for the other two;... More

Lead station is located on Chorlton's extra trendy Beech Road. There's a range of little curiosity shops with a strong independent vibe and yuppified terraces close by on the green. It's surprising then that Lead Station's food is so oddly predictable. It's all perfectly pleasant, with nice surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere but the obviously "oven-chip" quality of the chips... More
