So I think I was expecting this night to be more if an experience. You have to hike 30 minutes from Carrefour up to the restaurant. The hike was ok, but after a week of skiing a hike up hill in the dark wasn't my idea of fun. I'd suggest doing it earlier in your trip :) The website tells... More

...hike up from Le Restaurant Carrefour and then SLED DOWN AFTERWARDS! The hike plus the great food plus the sledding = 10 stars. Definitely order a salad as their dressing is the best. Their mulled wine after a long day's skiing hits the spot. Staff is lovely. Lunch and dinner equally great. You can bring your dog(s)!

I worked a Winter season in Verbier for an established Ski Chalet company. The work was hard and long hours for little money however towards the end of the season, the company treated us to a meal at La Marmotte. This was an 'experience' I shall never forget. One of those moments when you reminisce and smile. On evening in... More

After so many years, this remains a great place to eat both for lunch and for dinner. We started our journey at 20:00 from Le Carrefour, and all the way up to La MArmotte. 1 hour walk pulling our sledges under a superb snowstorm, we arrived exhausted, (I was…) but the kids laughing at me… Assiette VAlaisanne, Fondue MArmotte, the... We had lunch at La Marmotte, we went there once in the summer, and now autumn. Still a great place. But...... Watch you head if you are over 6ft....or wear a helmet! The interior is amazing, mountain style. We had salat with chicken, and homemade rösti with bacon, eggs and a salat with a tiptop dressing. Prices okay, dogs welcom,... More

Great view and you can drive there or ski down. Good place to meet up if some members of the party ski and others don't. Lovely walk along the streams where there are some interesting wooden statues carved on tree trunks along the way. Food is average though.

Phenomenal place up in Verbier, in winter you either walk 45 minutes in the snow or you beg them to come and pick you up with the skidoo. The place is a beauty, food is good, excellent racket but phenomenal salad dressing. Also do try the Rostis Maison .

If you fancy a stop for lunch after a hard morning ski then this is a lovely option! The view, overlooking the valley, is simply beautiful and a lovely setting. Inside it is cozy and friendly, which is lovely if the weather is foul. The food is very nice especially when joined with a glass of mulled wine! The only... More

This is not the easiest mountain restaurant to get to but certainly worth it. If the piste to Carrefour is closed you have an uphill steep walk to the lift to get you back into the lift system. The food is one of the best amongst some pretty awful restaurants in Verbier that really don't seem to try very hard... More
