Civilised lunch

Nice setting and ambience. Set lunch at chf65 was v good value. Starter of trout was great. Wiener schnitzel was tasty but light on the veal and not the "oreille d'elephant" that some might expect. Extensive selection of good wine of the mood takes one. Nice Selction of half bottles for those... read more

What I like up the mountain is hearty food and a cosy, mountain hut like atmosphere with a log fire and/or a relaxed spot to rest up with a good view of others toiling on the slopes. For those things there are better places to go above Saas-Fee. But if you want Michelin star food up the mountain this is... More

If you're in SF to ski then you must eat here, make sure you book and if in Dec/Jan book the early session (12 O'clock) as you'll lose the sun after about 1.30 and it's freezing sitting outside. Service is very good (David runs it, v efficient) and food was marvellous (Edging towards fine dining), you can eat inside but... More

Service and food excellent, but I would recommend to eat inside. Although lovely fur throws are provided it gets very nippy after a very short time.

This is by far the best mountain restaurant in Saas-Fee. Loved the service - professional and easy at the same time. Food is superb, so is the interior. And they serve the best Apfelstrudel in the world ;) They only have two reservation possibilities at 12 and 14. Do book in advance.

for many years we have enjoyed many a fine meal at the Waldhaus Fletschorn but this is the first time we have tried the restaurant run by them up on the mountain. This place is outstanding and well worth making the effort to get there. It is located on the ski mountain and you need to take the telekabine up... More

Its like being in an early morning nightclub in wind down mode.…with chill out tunes…..on the snow….in the sunshine…wrapped in a blanket….with a coffee. Just one of those places that makes you happy

Wow! Great mountain restaurant just opposite the Spielboden lift. We had an excellent truffle pasta and a cheese and crouton salad followed by the chocolate mousse. A little more expensive than the average mountain restaurant, but easily worth it. I recommend that you get there before 1.30pm because it gets pretty busy. I can't understand the rating because this restaurant... More

Could you imagine dining in style after a 2-3h hike in a Restaurant that offers excellent cuisine on 2400m above sea level? Restaurant Spielboden is a offspring of the famous Restaurant Fletschhorn in Saas Fee, a top address for honeymooners and lovers of Star Michelin rated cooking. The service is high end, the wine cellar fabulous and the food spectacular.... More

The place is amazing. Small and located to the top of the cable car. A visit there is a must to do even though for just a coffee or a glass of wine. Very nice personnel . As it's being rated with the Gault et Millau, prices are rather high especially for the wines. The food was great but the... More
