Cosy atmosphere

Le Cafè du Nord has short menu with practically meat dishes except if you go for the fondue/raclette option. It offers decent food in moderate prices and the atmosphere is cosy.

This is a typical cozy and charming restaurant in the swiss alps. A good choice after skiing all day in the mountains. Very central.

Went twice again this Winter, once for a delicious "fondue aux bolets" just before the peak season, and once with the full family, between Christmas and New Year. I ordered this time a great "steak tartare" but tried the burger and the "Joues de porc" (yes, in the others' plates!). Everything was really good. Great wines, excellent service, decent prices:... Good food at resonable prices with nice service. One of Champery's better restaurants. The return visit was as good as the first one.

Knowing that many restaurants locally would be hoping to attract two 'sittings' for New Year's Eve, we went for the luxurious option of dining from 7.30 - and a set meal which would take us up till midnight. From the aperol spritzer on arrival, with amuses bouches of some amazing form of foie gras, through a carpaccio course, poached oyster,... More

Possible the worst restaurant in Switzerland that I have been to. A mixed salad had 2 small button tomatoes and a piece of cucumber, the rest just lettuce. The chicken curry was 'boil in the bag' standard with zero flavour. Twice as expensive as similar but better quality restaurants.

The lounge absolutely a must in Champéry. The restaurant perfect, and this applies to the food and the service. Surprising new rooms that I thought could only be found in a Relais et Chateau de Charme

Rather difficult to read the menu as it was interspersed with cuttings from a newspaper so rather muddled. They did the usual swiss alpine fare and we would have liked to try the raclette with sausage but they had none left so in the end we had the mushroom fondue which we were told contained local bolets mushrooms but as... Beautiful setting in the middle of Champéry village, delightful terrace, comfortable interior, reasonable prices, first class staff & very friendly owner. Good food, good wines & coffee & a great meeting point. WiFi too which helps!

The restaurant looks more like a bar but the food is certainly not bar quality. On the contrary. Very tasty, fresh, well prepared food and friendly service. The best of the three restaurants we tried in Champery.
