If it was for the food, I would have reviewed a max of 5 stars...cause it was really excellent! We ordered a Chateaubriand and it was done according to our taste. The meat was delicious and very tender. The wine we ordered was excellent (Red from Thomas Donatsch, from the Region). There were only few details we can put on... More

Beautiful shaded garden in the summer, along the Tamina, and when the weather is less nice inside is inviting, as well. There is a more elegant dining room and another more casual with visibility into the service area, the latter of which is more lively. Both serve the same menu and we prefer the more casual side. It is easy... More

Still amazing. I would so come more often if it was closer to me, but then again, I like that it's far because it makes the meal a little bit special. Service is amazing as always. Since the first time I've been here I've always had very good service. The way they present their pots and food makes me crave... More

In my opinion this place deserves to be visited. If you have any chance reserve in advance it is pretty much booked up.We stayed outside in the garden area which is perfect for a hot summer day since it is covered with trees. Nice atmosphere. The waitress are very friendly and attentive. We took a Chateaubriand for around CHF 63.-... More

As we just asked to change tables, the owner through us out saying "RAUS!!" It was raining and I was my 92 years old mother in law! Whatsoever, I heard that the food was not as good as it used to be. So not a place to recommend.

We enjoyed our dinner here. Very good food in nice, rustic ambiance. Service is very friendly and quick. Three courses in just more than one hour. We had sole for 2. They charged 11 Swiss Francs per 100 grams. On our bill they charged the sole for 121 Swiss Francs ( the weight of the fish must have been1,1 kilo).... More

Gasthof Loewen has a very cozy and loving atmosphere and is also absolutely spotless. The menu is very traditional and features many dishes that are extremely difficult to find anywhere else (outside Switzerland). My favorite is the Rahm Schnitzel (usually called Zürcher Geschnetzeltes) which is veal in a cream and mushroom sauce, served with rösti and red cabbage. Gasthof Loewen... More

What a great restaurant! 1000% hospitality combined with 100% culinary expertise. I had lunch there a few days ago with my mom, sister and brother in law. The Jozie man enjoyed every course of a fantastic meal accompanied by the wines of the region: the Hirschbraten was devine and the Pinot noir from the nearby Buendner Herrschaft a Great companion.... This is probably the only restaurant that serves Swiss-cuisine that I can tolerate in the country. The restaurant is located in the very near proximity of the Grand Hotels Bad Ragaz, so the clientelle you see when you look around is predominantly business-men and some locals. The restaurant is charming, the manager always remembers her guests, and the presentation of... More
