A nice change of pace

A very nice Italian meal of good value. The staff are friendly and the food especially the gnocchi, is quite good.

Food was ok but not memorable - service was also ok but somewhat rushed (unusual in Europe) and really encouraged us to sit outside even though there was considerable cigarette smoke and rain threatened (and it did rain - we were mostly covered). Very nice balcony patio, great location on 2nd floor right by the bridge.

Excellent pizza and pasta dishes. Outdoor seating overlooked the river. Great service. An enjoyable meal and evening!

We loved our meal here at La Baia - we ordered a pizza and a salad. The salad was beautiful and fresh and tasty. The pizza was plentiful for two. Great place for dinner or lunch. Nice view from the terrace looking over the river as well.

We go to the La Baia once a week, and the Pizzas are the best that we have tasted since living in Germany. The cheese used is Mozerella and not fatty Gouda as used at other restaurants. The bases are not frozen and appear to be hand made and are on the large size. Staff are always friendly.

A nice gentleman we met on a street of Cochem recommended this place for us, so we decided to give it a try. Overall it was pretty good, except that food was a little too salty for me. Not great if you are looking for traditional German food though?

Dinner was great and very well priced. The team were great looking after us and we had a very good gnocchi and 2 pizzas between us before we rolled away! We will be back.

After spending a week in Cochem and having tried out various restaurants, I've reached two conclusions: 1. The overall level of cuisine isn't amazingly high here, nor are people's standards, seemingly. 2. La Baia probably counts as the worst experience. Let me just expand on that last point. I've had my fair share of Italian restaurants, so I sort of... More

A nice restaurant but it was too hot to eat inside. Although it was raining, we were able to eat outside on the terrace which was covered with very large umbrellas. There we were able to have a good view of the river and its surroundings. With the children we just eat pizza's, which were enjoyable. Although the menu states... More

Hotel / restaurant La Baia is a very nice place to be. They serve excellent food. Maybe you pay a little bit more but it is worth. You can eat a good steak or pasta. But also the pizza's are very good.
