Lovely food. My husband had curried turkey whilst I had omelette and roast potatoes. Really tasty and massive portions. Good price for the above plus a couple of large beers. Would return if we go back to Cochem.

We received great service, the food was delicious and very nice location - in the center of city and right next to the river.

We ate here in the off season (January) and found the atmosphere to be great, especially for children. They had books, coloring pencils and fun things to keep the kids occupied. It is a very traditional German restaurant right along the riverfront in the shopping district. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly and quite helpful.... More

They say you should never criticize a restaurant with your mouth full. In full disclosure, I must confess I cleaned my plate, but over all the restaurant did not live up to expectations. I had read a review in another travel guide and was looking forward to an enjoyable meal. This is August and fresh produce is readily available. Therefore... More

This is a pretty standard German restaurant. I ate schnitzel with fries and salad. The meal was efficiently served and the bill for two of us came to under 30 euros which included a large beer and a coke.

We spent three weeks in Germany in May 2013 including 4 days/nights in Cochem. We had been to Cochem several times over the years, but this was the first time that we ate at Gastatte Noss. We ate there twice, once outside in their outdoor café in a pedestrian area & once inside. We enjoyed our meals both times and... More

We were in Cochem at the beginning of January and many restaurants were closed. Gastatte Noss was recommended by our hotelier and we weren't disappointed. Good food, good wine, good service and a view of the Mosel!

On our trip to the Mosel area we stopped in Cochem for some wine tasting and to tour the wonderful restored castle. Both were fun and entertaining. The castle tour is very good. On the recommendation of Rick Steve we stopped at the Noss for lunch. We were surprisingly disappointed. We ate outside on the terrace which was extremely crowded... More

This pub was about the only place open to serve food in Cochem after 9:30 pm. The kitchen closed immediately after we ordered. Our food was only ok. My vegetarian dish was disappointingly made from canned and prepared frozen food. Our waitress was very good, but sadly she cannot make up for the poor food. I am not sure I... More

We stopped in Cochem based upon various travel book recommendations but found it high tourist even in November. If you like shopping this is the town for you. It has many restaurants which face the Mosel River with outdoor seating. Unfortunately outdoor seating means smoking is permitted. Gaststatte Noss faces the Mosel which is nice but we found it was...
