After trying several restaurants and being them full we end up here. First impression: my granny place. And what does that mean: old-fashioned decoration, wonderful food, no English. The food is fresh, well done, tasty and generous in size. Very friendly owners (of my granny age too) that fulfilled my picky children (and my mom) wishes. I dont give 5... More

high quality food and lovely wine - also good value. I ate the calves liver - excellent quantity and beautifully presented - my wife had the trout fillets, also excellent. Not a quick service, but quality takes time

Good old folks serving up well made traditional German food. Second story view over the river if you time your visit to get one of three tables by the windows.

Surrounded by the chip-and-snitzell brigade, overlooking the Mozell River, this is an old-style German restaurant filled with chattering and gossiping old-style Germans, with old-style German fish dishes and things like pork medallions with green veg and nicely sliced and roasted potatoes, cooked in the German old-style! Which means, still tasting like food. Nothing super-special, but run by a lady and... More

Last year we visited this restaurant and this year we went especially back to Dazert during our stay in Cochem. The restaurant isn't modern or trendy, but the food is really good! There is a lot of choice between fish dishes, but there is also a variety of meat dishes. The food is fresh, the sauces are finger licking yummy... More

Recommended to us by another Cochem business. A traditional German restaurant where the meals are cooked from scratch by the husband & wife team (apparently quite a few of the Cochem restaurants now share kitchens & the quality of ingredients & sauces have faced cuts as prices are kept low). The 2 meals we had we indeed a step up... More

We chose this restaurant as it served a wide variety of fish for me but also plenty meat dishes for my carnivore husband. It was very quiet as it was out of season with only one other large family group there. We chose a table in the window, the restaurant is on the first floor, so the views over the... More

The restaurant is run by an older couple who live in, and are the caretakers of, the building the in which the restaurant is located. The gentleman who was our waiter was "old school," and his presence certainly added to the ambience of the place. Don't expect much English to be spoken here, not a problem if you are willing...
