Very good German style food at very reasonable prices

Had an excellent dinner at Ratinger Brauhaus. The local dark beer was great, the food was simple, yet tasty local delicacies. My colleague and I started with the goulash, which was a little salty but tasty. Then I had the Rheinland rolled beef, with mustard on top, which was very good, despite the fact that the beef was a little... More

A real treat is in store, not only because of the lovely home-brew beer. Usually I am not fan of Altbier but this was great. And the lovely food to go along with it. Real Hausmannskost of the finest quality. Great atmosphere too.

I generally try to stop in here on all my trips to Ratingen. It is a small local pub, with a few authentic local beers (as is typical in Germany). The food is tasty, proportions are good and the price is very fair.

During a business trip, I have choose this restaurant through Tripadvisor, and it was just like described: good place, with good food, with few english (really), nevertheless, all of us had a very pleasant evening and we were able to order our food and drinks.

The best alt there is. Friendly local with great value pub grub. The pub skittles (Kegelbahn) is good fun for a group.

Atmosphere is traditional German: noisy, rivers of bear, semi-darkness. There's its own bear with good quality. The portions are really big (most of them include salad). That is nice place for company 3-6 people. The only a bit annoying point is that stuff is quite bad in English. But anyway you will be able to make an order.

We visited here due to the high Tripadvisor ratings, and it delivered exactly what we had hoped for. Be careful though - this place is very popular with both locals and visitors, so it is advisable to book, especially if you are a large group. Food and beer both excellent, service maybe a little slow, but it was very busy,... More

I chose this restaurant/bar based on the previous reviews, I was not disappointed. I had a great meal (the Brewery meat plate), 4 small, though excellent dark beers, brandy & a coffee for just under EUR 20.00. Service is great & the place is humming with a good atmosphere. Just what was needed on a rainy November evening. Highly recommended.

We wanted to eat something before driving home to the Netherlands and ended up in this Brauhaus. We had great food for a very nice price accompanied by the local brew. Loved it and will return.
